I vote A, unlike a Challenger or Camaro, his car was neither built by Ford or Shelby as a production car,, that one made me say WHAAAAAAAT...

OK, here's my revised poll for best analogy to describe and compare the Shelby Cobra replica to one of the genuine 998:
a) The Present-day Auto Manufacturer (Challenger, Ferrari, etc.) Analogy
b) The Mona Lisa by da Vinci Analogy
c) The Rolex Watch Analogy
d) The Dolly The Sheep Cloning Analogy
e) The Seafaring Vessel (row boats and dingees) Analogy
f) The Tribute Band Analogy
g) The Indian Motorcycle Analogy
I'm still voting "d."

Mine's in there but it's really silly. Haven't looked at it since I bought it years ago.

As soon as I win the VIN tag being raffled on the other thread, I'm mounting it to my FFR so I can have a real 1 too.

I wonder if I should get my Kirkham "tech'ed" by Shelby American and convert to a Shelby CSX # and badge and make my Kirkham a Shelby instead.
How much would the Shelby CSX badge cost? Meh, who gives an S.

If you bought a 50th ann car 427 you would have it, its a Kirkham exactly, rebadged Shelby, they even used our billet suspension, Shelby how could you...

There hasn't been a group of men so inept at trying accomplish something since the Keystone Cops.
As you were.
I check back in later.

The cost would probably be 5-10 in Leavenworth.

Actually, I've heard they've done it for other Kirkhams. The VIN remains the same, unaltered, but Shelby affixes it CSX plaque and charges a fee. And voila!

If you did you would have to downgrade on suspension and brakes, maybe take a hammer to the chassis and weaken it a bit

Not the whole movie, just the short clip. That's what I posted. Its a sad scene where this pathetic character who has no sense continues to get pummeled even though he is beat. The crowd, with the blood lust, salivate at the scene of watching the fight. But then they all realize how pathetic it is. They all turn away as even they, criminals, can't bear to look at this sad spectacle. This fool has no sense whatsoever. He's not cool. He's sad.
But if you want to take the whole movie, then it is a pathetic petty criminal with anti-social behaviors who becomes an even more pathetic character who has no sense.
Stay down Real1, stay down.
What a pathetic scene this is.

It's REAL simple -
FFR sells row boats
BDR sells row boats
SPF sells row boats
Kirkham sells row boats
Shelby buys Kirkham row boats
Shelby slaps a "dinghy" sticker on the Kirkham row boats
Shelby sells the Kirkham row boat as a dinghy for thousands more
Evan thinks his "dinghy" is not a row boat because of the dinghy sticker

He has to justify overspending for a rebadged Kirkham somehow!
