Yes, Blue66, you only buy Shelby's and you're looking for a Griffith. We know.

If you only buy Shelby's and you're looking to buy a CSX4000, then why not buy Evan's car? You can kill two birds with one stone: buying a Shelby and seeing Evan "get his price."

Already have a 4000 glass car. Evans is way overkill and to nice for me. I don't like alum.. Our roads are not the best and don't want to beat up a nice alum car. Yes IF I buy any more new Cobra's they will have a CSX # .. Whats the big deal ?? You like alum cars. I don't see the problems with guys that want/have a CSX car. Cars/real estate.. Same $$$$

GO Evan !!!

an aluminium body is more authentic than a badge , don't understand the issue with csx in plastic..., but everybody as he likes,

in general i either dont understand the problems with evans price

when he sets a new mark, every car beyond that level is getting more worth,
so everbody could be confident if he is successful...

Do a search of Real1's posting history and you will see what the problem is/was. You're too new here to have been a witness to his egocentric behavior.

yes, i had a look at it, but his behavior has nothing to do with the price

As far as I can tell, no one has a problem with Evan's price. Now, I think it's funny (and counterintuitive) that when he couldn't sell it for $229,000, he decided to raise his price to $249,000. It's America. He can do it whatever he wants, but IMO, its 2004 all over again, when he last thought about selling it, but decided not to. He (or his wife) is not serious about selling. Again, IMO, if he were serious, he would place ads also on CobraCountry and eBay too. Hemmings does not have a large audience and I'd speculate it's an old(er) audience.

ClubCobra is a discussion forum for mainly Cobra replicas and we're all just talking about various Cobra topics including the sale of Cobra replicas like Evan's. There's no animus here.

i think it has a logic to rise the price of the offer when all the prices in the surrounding are rising...

Doesn't matter if he raises the price.

Won't sell at $229,000. Still won't sell at $249,000. And, guess what, it won't sell at $300,000 either.

You mean a rising tide lifts all boats.

Do you mean Vern's CSX4227 which sold and was asking $160,000 obo? I don't think that price would increase the value of Evan's. "All the prices in the surrounding are rising"? Are there comparables substantiating a rising price?
