Owner is not an expert on cobra replicas (he never claimed to be) - he bought the car and he enjoyed it and he is now having my company sell it for him - it s a nice car and the money is right on it for having a real BB 427 ford side-oiler

Car is over priced, seller/broker should do his homework on the replica market before putting his foot in his mouth and his business reputation on the line. Hiding behind "the owner told me so" does not make it better, nor does the truth hold out as to the value of the car vs say an ERA, with a sideoiler in it.

Then again, what would I know about the replica market, something the current seller/broker has always put down whenever marketing his "superior product"

Bill has never hidden the fact that he buys and sells all sorts of cars, including Cobras. He actually buys and sells in another marque's forum, in which I'm a member.

His view that this FFR is overpriced is clearly supported by other opinions, including mine. And the recent price reduction from $55K to $50K is evidence of that, no?

I'm thinking $38-40k when all is done. Then someone will pull the S/O and put something more FFR friendly in it and flip it. Then keep the S/O for something else...

Interesting as I cannot find anywhere on this forum or on the SAAC Forum or on the shelby.com forum that has Bill advertising his services?

Furthermore the State of South Carolina department of automobile dealer licensing does not have him nor his company listed as a dealer/broker/wholesaler/etc.

I don't know the laws of South Carolina, but as hobbyists, aren't we allowed to buy, fix and sell a certain # of cars each year without needing a license, company or whatever?

You could not sit back and openly discuss the car in question, instead you have to cut and paste parts of my LinkedIn profile.

Trashing you, how, show me where I made one incorrect statement in this discussion thread (you do remember you posted this in ALL TALK COBRA and not in the forum classifieds under "dealer for sale items", right)

I don't hide anything, never have, never will.

I am, and have always been a buyer and seller assistant.

No surprise in my line of past businesses, I have been (and may still be ) a licensed appraiser.

Plus, I do my homework on each and every car that I take on, I am extremely finicky about what I take on, and as such, work strictly by word of mouth, as it is my personal reputation on the line. I can proudly stand behind mine, and generally do whenever someone like you thinks they are exposing the "man behind the curtain".

Any other public information you want to lay out there, after all, I've got nothing to hide, never have, never will.

PS: CSL never sent me a letter, in fact, I did some really nice embroidery work for several in management when I owned the business. However, they did request a name change in 2010 by the new owner of the business. It's now called (I believe) replicamotions, and Ted does a really nice job of creating some wicked, custom embroidery of his customers cars.
