It’s an Arntz I think.
Looking closer it doesn’t look like a Mustang 2 front.
Dean Morrison went to Everett in 1983 with his Cobra moulds and Cheetah tooling and the Everett-Morrison Cobra was created.
There is a Allied Fun Buggy ad that lists Cobra body’s for $150, but they folded in 1983.
The Allied Plan A Cobra ad has the Arntz Plan A drawing.
I called Moores Auto Repair in Michigan City and he said 40 years ago Allied made Cobras in a building next to him but it’s gone now. 800 Chicago St.
What would an Arntz chassis with suspension do on BaT?
How is Dean Morrison related to Robert Morrison (Molded Fiber Glass Companies) who made the first Corvette body’s for Chevy?

Thanks for your input, I agree, does not look like Mustang 2 front suspension, it does look like MGB, which in the Allied materials I have seen is not what they were using. I have no intention of reselling. I have been wanting to build a Cobra since I was a kid. I don't have any of the skills needed to build a body, however. To me that is the big limiting factor here....

That’s Bennett Coachworks, Bob Bennett was Arntz engineer and built the first Excaliburs too. It’s funny rite, one of Bobs chassis sitting on a shipping container way in the future.
They gotta smile.
I called him about the Classic Roadsters top fitting on a Excalibur and we got to talking about early Cobra companies.
He said after Arntz turned into Butler everybody was copying the designs.
A VW powered Cobra? It’s no wonder why Shelby sued.
Our old friend Ryan said the Classic Roadsters body will fit on the 94 1/2” wheelbase VW chassis and was designed that way.
There’s a guy with a body somewhere looking for you.

I looked at in person and I do believe it is Allied, Arntz, or Butler. It is clear that someone has been welding on it other than whoever originally built it. The front section of the frame forward of the radiator appears to have been cut off and welded back on, poorly. The area where the roll bar mounts has the same poor welds. That and the fact that there is no body (accident?) makes it a pass for me unless it was priced around what the value of the Jaguar differential unit was.
