Mr. Hotfingers: You sir, are no DiVinci! But as Bill aptly pointed out if DiVinci painted another Mona Lisa well it would be a replica of the first but a REAL Mona Lisa by the original artist.

There is only one Carroll Shelby. Only he can offer a REAL Shelby Cobra.

While the market for "Cobra replicas" may be saturated the number of REAL Cobras ,new or original, from SAI are still pretty limited. Thus maybe explaining the sale price of $160K for the aluminum CSX's at Barrett Jackson, shill or no shill. Also not many "celebs" or shills at the Atlantic City auction which brought in $200K on a CSX 4000R.

How many fake Shelby Cobras sold for $160K at any auction? Has any non Shelby ever sold for more than $100K anywhere? So if Barrett Jackson is not a good indicator of value where people with the money to spend go to buy expesive and collectible cars ebay, which is full of trolls looking for bargains is???? Gimme a break!

While the CSX is more expensive than non REAL Cobra replicas I believe that when adjusted for inflation the new CSX is relatively as expensive as the originals were in 1965. $7000 to $9500 was a boat load of money back then and would even buy you a decent little house. A brand new Vette was what, $4000? The Cobra was nearly twice the price.

Whats a new Vette today? $50,000+? New Cobra=$100K+. Everything still seems in relative proportion to me. Whats the problem? You guys want a Shelby for SPF/Shell Valley or Hunter Prices? Don't blame ya but I don't think its gonna happen.
