SkipB - great info - thanks.
Today I got my form 124 to authorize the CHP to provide a VIN - no problem other than typical DMV lines. Now I just need the car delivered so I can take it over to CHP - it should arrive sometime in late February.
I pushed the women at DMV regarding the YR MODEL - she said all recent SPCN will have the 0000 model year. As Randy said, it is what it is.
I will probably just go adding the Cobra to my existing AAA policy. While it will be my third car, I will only have one other with them and thus any savings by going with a non-AAA provider will be lost by not having a multi-car discount. With AAA I get a little more liability coverage (I won't have to adjust my umbrella) and they are a local company, not someone 3,000 miles away. I also don't want to worry about whether my destination is permitted under the policy. Condon & Skelly and Grundy limit where you can drive - it must be a Hobby location such as club meetings, etc. I was told you could not go to the grocery store or a friend's house. While I doubt they police this too carefully, why risk having a claim rejected?
I am just trying to KISS and I can always change things in the future.
Thanks again to all for your terrific information.
