Provide bill of sale and mso to BMV they give you a registration and temp tag. Take MSO and bill of sale to court house pay taxes to clerk of courts and they issue you an ohio title. Take title back to BMV and get normal plate. Very Easy. the lady at the clerks office said without an MSO that it was much more involved. This is my experience and I have only registered one Cobra in my life. Your results may vary. No inspection, no vin check, car didn't leave the garage.

Bought mine new when I lived in Iowa. Called and made an appointment and he met me at my residence. Had to have the MSO and Bill of Sale. He printed a sticker with the state assigned VIN for the door jamb and stamped the same state assigned VIN on the frame which took longer than all the other stuff combined. He was done in less than 30 minutes. Drove over to the local office and paid to pick up the tags. Done in hour from when the inspector arrived.

After talking to Gus Romo here in CA in 98 and learning what to do, I was done in 45 minutes, but most of this was spent waiting in line. Walked in with the info from Gus and the woman verified the VIN on the car and took my money. I think it was easier before SB100.

Hi! I am new here and hope to find out about how to register and title a replica in Arizona. Is anyone out there who has done this? I am having a replica built, didn't think too much about having a registration problem. Now I am a little worried. Exactly how is this done in Arizona?

In Va. Take the MSO to dmv. Pay your 3%. Walk out 10 minutes later with antique tags.

Here in CT it can be a nightmare. Besides all the usuall paper work for engine, tranny and MSO you must go through a complete inspection. Every inspector checks different things every time you go. Have never heard of anyone passing the first time. YOU cannot drive to the inspection even if allready registered out of state. And it must be registered as a new car, not a 65 etc. And now we are all concerned aboute emission's. Even thought you may have a rebuilt motor from whatever year, you must pass emissions for the year registered. They do sound, height, and any other thing you can think of.
I was ready to kill them.

In Illinois, upon receipt of the proper documentation (MSO, receipts for major components, two photos, license and title application and tax form, and checks for the 6.5% sales tax and title and registration fees), someone from the Motor Vehicle Department calls to make an appointment with the owner to send an inspector to the car's location. Following a successful inspection, the inspector affixes an Illinois VIN # tag to the frame. The plates and registration arrive in the mail shortly thereafter.
