I'm 52. Want to make sure the grandson is hooked on getting a Cobra while he is still young (3yo now)!!!
Anyone set off someone's car alarm while cruising this weekend?
(got 2 so far...)

I'm 22. Some guy about a hundred posts ago said he thought he was the youngest at 23. But I'm only in the game because of a series of unfortunate events. My dad deserves credit for actually building the car, so I don't know if I count .

You're a Cobra owner. You count.
Your dad did well. You should be very proud of what you own.

I recently turned 62 years young and have had my cobra for 4 years.
I just celebrated a 6 month cancer free anniversary, and you know what,
I drive that thing every chance I get now - I see no reason to give my
son a low mileage Cobra!
Enjoy them while you can - who knows what tomorrow may bring!

Ok, while we are on the I know a guy thing, one of the men here has had two Cobras in the past 4 years and he was 83 his last birthday. He drives them in the Winter with enough clothing on that he looks as if he weighs 300 pounds. He actually weighs 124 he told me. But he loves tinkering with cars and will get another one as soon as he gets everything to his satisfactioon on this last one. He bought a new Corvette in 2002 and got rid of it in three months because there wasn't anything on it he could improve or tinker with.

Took a while
Well I was 35 when I bought ther car, and it took me 2.5 years to get it on the road. It has been running for 2 years now and what a blast.
Looking at building that GT-40 for the hot summer months here in AZ..... need a top and AC, oh and something that does not overheat sitting on the freeway....

I am 52. Doesn't seem old to me. It seems like just yesterday i was sitting behind the High School drinking beer from a quart bottle. i have been married for over 21 years. Made alot of money, but somehow, between, camps, parties, college, only $11. left for me. So i decided last winter i would buy the car of my dreams. i am CSX4819 with an all aluminum engine, tremac 600s 5 speed transmission. only hope my health holds up until it is delievered..lol Conrad

For me it was an unfulfilled dream for 30 years. I am 57 now. Graduated HS and went to college in '65 when real Cobras were the ultimate car. Decided to build my first one as a college graduation present. Not my graduation but my youngests college graduation. Enjoyed it for almost 10 years, sold it and just finished my new one this month

Hey Cody, this is the absolute max Cobra forum, but if you are also into Mustangs (like UT) try this site, the Oklahoma Deadhorse Mustangs.
Mostly young, foul-mouthed street racers, but I love them all and they drive some 'way cool 'Stangs.
Did I mrntion that they are foul-mouthed?
I'm the oldest Deadhorse.
Our motto? "You Can't Beat a Deadhorse."

Warren - congratulations on your continuing birthdays. I am glad you can't see through me on a daily basis. I am now 55. Can't retire - most of the kids still in school. I am busting out and spending $ on a toy or two before various institutions abscond with all of the funds.

I'm 47 and have been involved in mustangs since I was 16. I bought my first cobra several years ago, sold it after divorce and recently bought my second.
