Hey, you guys can have whatever opinion you want regarding the Continuation series Cobras as to whether they are REAL or replica etc.. whatever your motive. Its a free country. Candidly, I really don't care. There are many who try to twist what I've been saying, but I've said what I've said very clearly. Its got nothing to do with elitism, ego etc...Just stating the facts. At no time have I tried to pass my car off as an "original" Cobra and don't know any Continuatoin owner who has. When asked I tell people what the car is. Period.

There are some here that differ with myself, Shelby American, SAAC and other Continuation owners as to whether the car is a replica/reproduction. Thats fine. No hard feelings. To me its simple. The new Cobras are not a replica of a Cobra as they are Cobras. www.SAAC.com You can also ask Amy B. of Shelby Automobiles. She backs me on this. As SAAC puts it, the only difference between the original series and the Continuation series is the time frame they were made. I agree. Its clear most "have nots" have their own agenda and disagree. This is expected. No problem. When people ask if my Cobra is REAL, I without hesitation say yes it is, its a Continuation series Shelby Cobra (usually followed by a statement that SAI started building them again in 1997). If asked if its a replica, I without hesitation say no it is not and tell them what it is. Both truthful. I think the problem is non Shelby owners can't give the answer I give and be truthful at the same time. I guess that frustrates them. The answer is for them to buy a Continuation series or an original.

As to value. No question that the original series are worth substantially more and probably always will be based on their history. No issue here. One needs to remember that the originals weren't always worth what they are today and in fact many sat on dealer lots for years before sold back in the 60's.

No one knows what the future holds but the odds are better that a Shelby will appreciate than an ERA, Spf, FFR or any of the others will. I think thats a fair statement. In fact the current Team Shelby magazine chronicles the fact that Shelby cars have consistently gone up in value over the years. Truth be told if its a choice of putting my money on a Shelby Continuatoin series Cobra or replica like an ERA or the like I know where my money would go...hey wait I already made that choice having sold my ERA to buy the Shelby. You pick you car. I'll pick mine.

Gad! Either throw a muzzle on Evan or close this thread down! I can't take any more breathtaking sophistry.
