My floormats almost killed me!
Ok so it's all good now, but here is the story.
Pre-rush hour, busy but fast highway. I'm in 5th and need to pass. I floor the car to get into a gap where I need to go. Car revs loud, we are pushed into the seats as we accelerate. I made it, and take foot off the pedal. EEK the car is still floored!!! ok semi getting closer FAST. Clutch in, rev limiter hit, foot under pedal to lift it, back off the clutch and a little brakes and all is well save for the girlfriend threatening certain parts of my anatomy.
Ok, turns out it was the floormat that bunched up to the front, trapping the pedal when I had floored it. The GF found me this link Product: Mat-LocĀ® Clips I think I am going to order them!
