Where & What To Buy for Racing Helmet & Gloves?

The track would be Thunderhill. The Yellow group requires that drivers must wear long pants, long sleeve cotton shirts, and gloves (preferably Nomex). Is there a popular helmet and gloves that people buy and wear? I'm not trying to blaze any new trails.

LPI Racing located in Livermore advertises in the SF SCCA regions magazine called The Wheel.

I have no idea what their prices are like, but at least you can check out a variety of helmets and gloves in person.
