Tinny..

If Ratboy drives your car there will be a permanent crease in the middle of the seat.

After laughlin last year, it took a heavy duty steam cleaner to remove the last one.

Gee Jeff, never had much problem getting close enough.. it was passing slow enough that I had time to look that always posed the problem.

I'm a little tight on cash these days.

On second though, maybe Tin-man's car will be here by then and hopefully he will be out of the country.
I'll let you have the '46 for $20k, if you hustle you could have it done in time. Heck it even has a brand new Chebbie engine.

So...I'm unfamiliar with this trip....is it just a matter of getting a room and showing up? Details of the weekends happenings would be appreciated.

It's one of the largest of all the club events for the year. We gather as a group on Friday and run up to Laughlin. The rope off a section of the parking lot and we show off our cars for the weekend.. there are usually 1 or 2 side trips. The girls usually put on a costume party. Uh, the ladies go shopping and the guys round up a bunch of ho..nevermind about that part.. It's just a great gathering. Usually have cars from Nevada, Arizona and California. Lot of fun and some excitement.. Like when Don used Diana for coyote bait.. Oh, and we have a car show on Saturday.. Trophies, specialty prizes.. and all kinds of great stuff. Some breaks a chair. Someone blows a power valve,. Someone runs out of gas. Someone blows a fuse. Just all kinds of fun..

Thank you for that Mike, I am mindful somebody said its not good to let friends drive your Cobra, the issue being they could trash your car and since I have read where DWRAT had some issues at one time due to his driving skills I can see how he could leave a permanent crease and stain on my drivers seat being the result of a) his inability to contain his body fluids due to a definate loss of control of his Sphincter muscle caused by the high rate of speed the car will be going versus the rapid deceleration when attempting to take a curve and b) the spontaineous reflex action of that muscle grasping at whatever was available so he could stay in the drivers seat.

DWRAT why dont you consider renting a regular Chebby for the event, but you would have ride beside Danr55 or follow up in his rear. John AKA tin-man

So it's just from this group/forum? Since I missed the July 4th trip I would really like to make this one. I should have my car issued ironed out by then, if not, I will have probably hanged myself out of frustration. I did have a vinyl top and headliner installed on the hard top, picked it up today.....looks sweet! I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow when it's light out.

I don't think I've ever seen a Cobra with a vinyl top. Sounds different. Hope you can make it. Oh, I forgot to mention the burnout contest rapidly becoming known as the "Ratboy Memorial Rapid Acceleration and Braking Event".

It's a great time. T-Shirts, lots of food and drink. Boat ride, pole dance. Great drive. We stop in Kingman for lunch at Mr Dees. Mike gets pulled over for speeding. Oatman run. More food and drink and general Shenanigans.

Getting pulled over only counts if you get a ticket. He just wanted to alk about cars. Said something about a Corvette. Then Ginny starts.................

Are the Shenanigans going this year? If so they better bring cookies.

So are the boat ride and the pole dance at the same time??? I've seen stripper poles in truck beds before, but never in a boat! That would be awesome!!!

The pole dance and boat ride can, and often does, happen at the same time. However, the stripper keeps changing. Sometimes good sometimes not.

Not good when Don's the stripper.. Even worse when Jim's the stripper.. Not too bad when Ginny or Diana chose to get involved ... I don't think. That one hasn't happened yet.. As for the other two, use your imagination..

Dennis..

We meet in Wickenburg and travel up 93 to I-40 t0 Kingman for lunch. Then on to Laughlin 30 minutes.

Are you going to join us this year? The longest distance for a gas stop is from Wickenburg to Wikieup. about 99 miles.

I have my reservation at the Riverside. 800-227-3849 event code is "cruis". I asked not to be put next to Dan.
