Wilson was old enough to drive a cobra but not mature enough to own up to his decisions, or actions. I also hope that his insurance company will not pay for the car. Wilson will know many money conncerns besides going hopefully into jail. May he never get a drivers lic. again!!!

But that's precisely the reason you buy insurance... to cover you when you make bad decisions and act irresponsibly. When you exercise good judgment, and act responsibly, you generally don't need your insurance (but sometimes you do ). And remember, the insurance proceeds will go to her next of kin -- do you really want to stiff them? What if she left small children?

I wish no harm for the young lady's family. I wish that Wilson has an extreme difficulty in obtaining insurance and a drivers authorization for a very long time.

The trend for fatal DUIs, over the last decade, is a very rough 10 years per victim. The fact that she was in the car with him throws a wildcard in to the mix. For instance "we were just having fun and then she reached over and yanked the wheel -- that's why it flipped."

Oh goodness me. I sure hope he would not make that kind of a statement after trying to bribe the Officer.

We had a 25 year old kid that worked for us. The kid had a bright future with an engineering degree. 5 years ago one Friday night he went bar hopping with a friend.
A bad accident resulted in his passenger being killed (another one of our employees) as well as the driver of the other car. He was convicted of manslaughter and DUI and is in jail to this day serving 15 years.
Once convicted, the civil lawsuits started and wiped his family out. A damn shame all around. He threw his life away as well as many others. One bad decision is all it takes.

Yeah, I know it looks bad for him, but maybe there are some extenuating circumstances that will help him out. Imagine for a second that this kid had been racing another kid, and both were drunk, and both crashed in to one another and one was killed, would everyone here still feel the same way (since the victim was a "willing participant" in that example)?
