Are the workers being given opportunity at the other locations?

Mikie, our waitress, Jaclyn, is moving over to the 16th St and Colter location. She was moving near there anyway.

Well the present location has been a hike for me on Tuesdays during rush hour so if you move much farther out from the center of town (meaning Phoenix) I won't be attending anymore. Some place with windows to watch the cars is a necessity, but outside seating isn't as I don't smoke. If Jackie is moving to 5nD at 16th and Colter, maybe someone wants to join me there on Tuesday nights and start a new group. That one is minutes from my house.

Default You might be on to something Bruce

See you Tuesday then who knows. July 7th is tied up but I could meet you on July 14th there and see what happens.

Out of town this coming Tuesday. I am sure I will be "missed". Need to know where this other 5&D is located. How about a nice Google map Mr Bob.

Here is a thought, most of us know how to use a calendar, maybe 1st Tuesday of the month at one place , 2nd Tuesday of the month at another place, 3rd Tuesday etc. And something different on a 5th Tuesday, typically happens every 3 months. BTW I'll try and make it on Tuesday, however I'm on call this week so I'll see if I can line up someone to cover me.

Paul, Paul, Paul. You know you're getting 'way too complicated for a bunch of us-ins. I can just see people driving around trying to remember if the third Tuesday is this place or that, and wondering if this is really the third Tuesday, or was that last week. Pretty sure it would be much better to pick just one location to grace with our presence. Too many years and too many beers'll do dat.

Plus knowing Bob B, he will try to squeeze some freebies out of the place. (like free drinks)
Getting freebies and only showing up once a month isn't gonna happen.

I for one, do not look forward to a drive all across town to nibble and drink with a bunch of old men. Perhaps we are looking at splitting the action. A west side tuesday nite meet and an east/central Tuesday nite meet. Doc, would Pavillions be closer for you?

I'm ok with most places that I can get to in 20-40 minutes from the center of town. The 4:30pm start time is always a stretch if I have late patients. The pavilions is just about the same distance away as 5nD was, just East instead of West. 5nD at 16th St and Colter is nice as is Twin Peaks at 20th St and Camelback. Both have outdoor seating and nice hostesses.

Default The Future

Interesting developments here. I am going to plan on meeting Bruce N. at the 5 N Diner at 5220 N 16th St on Tuesday evening July 14th. We will tell Jaclyn about our visit. It's 25 miles from my home and 29 miles from Dan Shinn's home. About in the middle. Here is a map. https://goo.gl/maps/MB3B8 Easy access off of the 51.
As for July 7th, we will discuss this Tuesday.
We are not restricted to Tuesday in the future by the way.
I wonder where the Chevy guys that show up at 7pm are going.
AZ Bob

The Diner on 16th and Missouri is plenty easy to get to, from the East side in the late afternoon since the drive would be mostly against traffic. I worked at 7th St. @ Missouri for decades.

Bob, I won't be making it to dinner on July 14 as Sherry has her surgery on the 13th and I will nursing her back to health for a few weeks. I expect to make this Tuesday for the last dinner at the west-side 5nD. See you there.

You know, us east siders could start a new thread and set up a place of our own, it's always nice staying on the nice side of the tracks.

I for one, do not want to start it. I only seem to be in town a day or two a week lately. It's not bad traveling out of the heat, but miss home.

Also, car was run hard this season and I am making little progress getting her road ready.

Cheers

We had a good time at the 5 N Diner tonight. I learned a valuable lesson too. From now on I will make sure the fan override switch is off when I get out of the Cobra. A couple hours of the fan being on drains the battery LOL. Thanks to everyone who gave me a push start in order to get me home tonight. I really appreciate it.

Still huffing and puffing from pushing Keith. Bless stick shifts. Had 11 guys at the table tonight. Good Fairwell. Next week at Mixteca, July 14th at 5NDiner, then back to Mixteca.
