Or owned it, insured it, registered it in US for longer than 12 months then you can bring it over also. It must pass ADR but can be left handed from what I have been told.

I Wish.......

My company owns a 08 Tundra that im trying to bring over from MD in the states.

Every one i talk to just laughs when i tell them i want to brint it over, Including my engineer and conversion guys !

And if i could get it legally registered in Vic, it must be RHD.

Kinda sucks !

Soul.

Plus clubs don't just give out club permits to anyone and any car.I went through that option with my Eleanor,It was a big waste of time. They told me Police have been cracking down on clubs, and who they give permits to.So i don't think that would be a option with a Kirkham.
I think the only way is if the Kirkhams built a chassis that would meet our ADR requirements .To try and make that chassis work as is,would cost a lot of money and be a big headache.

Do not try to impaort a kirkham and get it converted to RHD - get a Hawk instead ... http://www.hawkcars.co.uk/hawk427/index.html

Saves the conversion cost - or maybe Kirkham can do this direct out of the US?

Hawk also do the nicest 289FIA...

That looks like a kirkham to me.And KIrkham do make right hand drive. But the problem here is the chassis isnt strong enough to meet adr requirements

Default Hawks are Kirkhams!

Hey guys, been reading this post for a while.

Hawk cars have their bodies supplied by Kirkham, at least they did when I investigated them some years back..

Thought you might be interested to know that there is a guy selling a Kirkham FIA alloy body on a G Force fully compliant chassis. I think it's in Unique Cars magazine. Might be worth investigating if the 289 shape suits you. Sounds like a good idea, don't know how well it's done though. Asking 45K.
