The Cobra Car Club of Victoria is a participant in the Club Permit Scheme.

The club has a number of members who's Cobra replicas are participants in the scheme - as am I.

There are a number of builds going on where the Club Permit is likely to be the only avenue for operating the vehicle - one of our members has a NOS 428CJ he's putting together

The 2011 permit fee is $114.40 and allows 90 days free use with each days use to be pre-registered in a log book provided by VicRoads

The proposed rules changes to the definition of a replica would have been disasterous for us. In the CCCV submission we asked that they not proceed in conjunction with the 90 day permit change and so far they haven't.

The issue is that the only place that 'replica' is defined and acceptable is in the Club Permit section of the Regulations - I understand that VicRoads is looking at this but we dont have a seat at that table.

If you are interested in operating your cobra on the club permit system and are a member of the CCCV the club will be happy to assist you within the bounds of the rules.

How do we get a seat on the table???
...seems like the next obvious question.

Kindest regards,
