Well guys, you'll have to hold off a little longer for the delivery pics.

The tow company called to say that they had to do maintenance on the truck which took longer than expected. They're now picking the car up today and I'm told it will be delivered on Saturday. I don't have a time yet.

I am excited for you Simon. Especially after our chat over the phone other week and your plans for your car.

I've been trying to reach Craig over the last couple of days, with no luck. Both office and mobile phones ring out. Perhaps they are on christmas leave now.

Enjoy your weekend!

Yes, the shipping company confirmed delivery for Saturday, but they couldn't give me a time. The driver is going to call me when he is an hour away.

Yes, I will take pics and post them up tomorrow!

Hi Paintwerks,
looks like Xmas has come early for you.....well done.

I am thinking seriously about the same kit....but maybe the comprehensive package.
I am also considering an low kms salvage donor car for the engine/gearbox.

I sent Absolute Pace an email but no response......wonder if they are sales orientated?

Guess I'll chase it up after Xmas.......now get reading and unpacking.

Hi Messy. Lol - I think you could safely say Craig is sales orientated, yes

I suspect he is just having a break, so wait a bit. He usually gets back to you reasonably quickly.

I have had Craig get back to me at midnight before. I guess when you're so busy you reply when you can

Well, I finally have my Cobra! She arrived yesterday and the barefooted truck driver William (seriously.....lol) was reallly nice and helpful. Some friends stopped by to help push the car up the ramp and I pushed her into position where I'll be doing the build. I was so excited to get the car that I forgot to take my camera outside!

Pictured alongside the car is my 6yo son Liam who is my co-builder. He's as excited to start the build as I am!

Excuse the 4WD look! Just wanted to add that Craig's crew raised the car in order to get the Cobra on and off the truck. I need to drop the car about 1.5-2" by adjusting the coilovers.

Looks great Simon. It must be great to have it in the garage!

How excited is your boy? Or should I ask who is more excited out of you two?

Happy birthday! (And Xmas...)

Simon

Great to see the arrival.

Looks great.

Did he send my wheels down on the truck?

Congrats on finally getting your Cobra home, she is a beauty.
Have you put a lounge cushion in and sat in it yet, making broom broom noises dreaming of Sunday drives to come
Good luck and looking forward to more photos as you progress

Hi Simon,

Well the day has finally arrived and now the fun in the building is going to begin.

I am possibly 8 to 10 weeks away from completion and then there will be the wait for the rego.

My exhaust will be finished mid January and the next big job will be the wiring and the fitting of the windscreen.

Its great to hear the enjoyment from everyone involved.

Cheers

Brad

Thanks all for the kind wishes and likes. This is the furthest south a Pace 427SC has ever traveled! The first one in Vic.

Bernie, sorry no, there weren't any wheels in the truck. Didn't know you were expecting anything.
