Default Visit by Cobra Car Club of N.S.W. and a factory visit.

Had 20 of the N.S.W. Cobra Club members up for a few days to get along to the Cooly Rocks On festival..
What's On Cooly Rocks On

While they were up here, they were nice enough to come along to our Queensland club breakfast last Sunday, and then along with our Queensland members came here to the Absolute Pace factory for a good look through the place.

After the factory visit...we had a B.B.Q.afternoon for them, arranged at Ronnie Ford's place...so a big day for all.

On the Monday, I led them on a pretty run over the mountains, and up to Canungra ,on their way to an overnight stay at Warwick.

Showed them where they could eat the "World's best chips", and we all enjoyed them.

A few links to some picture galleries of all of this as follows:

Breakfast meeting, and B.B.Q. and Canungra:

Factory Visit:

They had a ball, and wanted to pass on their thanks to all of our Queensland gang who made them feel very welcome.

They're a great bunch ,and we look forward to their next visit.

Cheers,
Warren

Cool pics thanks for sharing.

Good to see the place packed, and that we still manufacture the occasional thing here and there in this country.

Yes Ash...FIA 289 special project.

You musn't have paid for the FULL tour !?!

Happy to show what we're doing there...once I get the "all clear" from the new owner.

It's always up to the customer with this sort of thing.

Gave "Birth" to another new Black Pace427 yesterday..looked fantastic freshly spat out,and would like to drop some pics on the forum, but waiting for the customer to let me know if it's o.k. to do so.

The body looked AWESOME...and this morning I thought we had the best feedback ever!!

I sent the pics off last night, and the client wrote back this morning with ....

Spectacular! And to quote my wife when I opened the first of the body (out of the mould) shots, Wow! And the welding is immaculate!

I went straight out to the blokes in the composite shop this morning, to let them know how good their "welding" was on the body shell....classic !!

Cheers,
Warren.

Hi Warren,
You have my full "all clear".
From what I've seen in pictures of the bodywork so far, you guys are doing a great job on the body. I don't think I'm going too far saying that the AP 289FIA will be one of the most accurate - if not the most accurate - FIA replicas produced anywhere.
Cheers,
Glen

Not a LOT to see as yet, but this "link" should open at any time, and it will then show any pics up to date.

Sorry, but a Pace can be called many things, but "accurate replica" is not one of them. An Accurate replica is not just the body shape.

That's true....."accurate body shape"... With huge improvements "under the skin"...might be a better description.

i agree with you boxhead infact i would go as far as to say none of the kits are a accurate replica . as far as i know the ac cobra didn't come out with jag diffs or front ends or au falcon diffs skyline diffs commodore and torana front ends take your pic. in fact the only thing in common is body shape and that's somewhat a poetic license on some of them .

so basically if its a pace. drb. harrison. evens. paul woolly kit g force and others ive forgotten take ya pic . enjoy your kit of choice for what it is . a stunning car to look at and drive i bet the car your parked next too at a red light dosent care whats under the skin there just in awe of what they can see.
:-) what we have is a hotrod under the cobra banner.

cheers dean

I think Glen was coming from the point that the body and interior / wheels and tyres are original looking as possible and under that was hi tech Pace. Basically the same as me, alloy original looking 427 body with sweet Pace Engineering making for a nice drive.
