I do like your plates and job Stef, but your front plate would look heaps better in the boot like before.

Stef, Don't forget to pay a visit to your local state member.
Ask him/her why the demerit point system is so unfair for such a minor offence.
Cheers and best of luck.

Front plate
The real reason they are so hard on not having a front rego plate is that the revenue cameras, oops I mean safety cameras might miss an opportunity to get you.
Cheers,
Bryan

I thought they only took pics of the back (in NSW at lest)- otherwise motorcycles would never get done?
Cheers.

In Victoria (camera capitol of the world) they get you going both ways.
Even the rego sticker on the windscreen now has large lettering in case the plates are obscured.
Cheers

I reckon the plates look good on the car Stef, they suit it.
If they were the standard black on yellow plates it may be a different story though!!!

I've been without one since reg. but better look at putting one on soon.
Still think they look better without a reg. plate up front.

Remember the old E-Types in the UK? Used to have a decal of the reg. no. applied directly to the bodywork above the radiator intake. Great idea for "difficult" mounts, and they looked the part, but again, hard to take a photo of. Wonder if they're still legal over there?

Hi Craig, I remember the e-types with the number on the snout. Did seem to suit the part.
Shhhhhhh, I think the nearest thing to a camera in those days was a box brownie.

good idea but....
Craig, apparently one of the guys here has a Robnell with this setup and was pulled over for non RTA issued plate but was only cautioned, he still has it on though! so far so good and as for motorbikes, why is there a double standard? These things are speed weapons but still do not have to have a front plate..work that one out
by the way...one of those P platers I mentioned earlier killed himself this morning when he hit 2 trees not 1 and seriously injured 2 others, feel for the families very much but this is exactly what I was talking about, focus on the relevant issues, get more focused on penalising these young invicibles and we will all be safer on the roads.

I saw a Falcon 2 weeks ago that had an adhesive number plate.
Might be worth investigating.

Stef
Hell double points and all. I think that the double points should be for speeding not minor offences. I would really appeal that one.
I think www.finishline.com on the forum here has a number plate bracket that bolts onto the lower bolt on the front jack.. Maybe someone else but I have seen it.
My plates swings up also...
I had a similiar plate set up on the '37 roadster and the plate was up. I was stopped and was about to be given a ticket when the other cop came over and talked about the car. It gave me a little time to think and I told him that obviously someone careless had backed into the '37 and pushed the plate up with their tow bar.
He told the other guy to forget it and leave it.
However, he just stated that I should check my car before driving and ticketed me anyway. Hell I just took the cost off their Christmas fund raiser..

Stef,
Your plates are not legal either I dont think? My mate in Sydney has been done twice for two seperate cars for not having proper NSW RTA provided plates. He had perspex ones similar to yours that are not reflective.
