http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...install_Bl.JPG http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d..._install_A.JPG As soon as the bender pump comes back I'll finish the upper line. DV |
I have that same tank.. Love it.. the only difference is I ran mine out the drivers side on the upper.. I'm backwards... :) I would love to put a hard line there though. I have the MSD setup and march pulley kit too.. Gee I better go check and see if my engine is still out there.
Is that the summit racing fuel pump?? |
CaptEddie,
The 315/60/15 is a very tall tire for a Cobra. Might want to look at the 325/50/15 or the 275/60/15. These two are the same height. I've run the 295/50/15 BFG Radial T/A's on my spf and also the 325/50/15 BFG Drag Radials. I think the next set will be the slightly narrower 275/60/15. They are a little narrower but the same height as the 325/50/15's. Just my experiences. |
Chris, Thanks for the run down on the tires. I think I'll just stick with the Firestones we have on it now. If I get lucky and we get some good driving weather this year. I'll have them worn out and replace them over the winter :3DSMILE:

DV,
That tank looks sweet!:3DSMILE:! I'm thinking we can come out of the tank, make a 90' turn right into the radiator. Any update on the bender pump getting fixed? Did they give you an ETA? Now let's get this damn winter weather out of the way  and get this car on the road. :3DSMILE: |
Hey DV!!! Everything OK over there?
Hopefully your not buried under 20' of snow %/ Was planning on coming over on the 28th., but with winter not wanting to pack up and leave town. I don't see much value in the road trip. Any news on the bender pump? Keep warm!!! :3DSMILE: |
Cpteddie,
Below freezing, over a foot of snow since yesterday.......... Not to waste a total time frame, all the wiring is now run-in the frame- for the main harness. I have spent at least a week extending all the wires for the computers so they will go in the trunk. All the dash wiring is now done, mounted and wrapped. Center console has been modified and is really fitting nice to match the rear firewall. (Can't totally finish it until the body is on.) Nothing on the pump yet but I didn't think it would be ready yet. Not holding up anything but one of the guys rollbar I have to tweak :( . I'm cold----dang old age. Anybody have a couple of cords of wood they can send me? :) DV |
You ran the wiring harness IN the frame? Nice touch DV!!! Looking forward to making a visit, but with winter refusing to pack up and leave town. Not sure when it make since to come over. Really want to wait till you get busy in the paint booth.
Keep warm! This weather has to turn sooner than later. Cheers!!! |
I don't blame you...meTOO!

Kawika,
Is your wiring/fuse box mounted yet? Do you have a "Highway 15" wiring kit? Are you putting the fuse box forward or in the trunk? DV |

Kawika,
OK, you can still run the two harness's (front & rear) in the frame. Why don't you call me (213-869-4608) and I'll wallk you through it. Not that complicated, but more than one way......... DV |
CPTEDDIE,
Since we're into the wiring conversations and I am almost totally done with yours, I realized last night that you have no courtesy lights! (-On- when you open either door or by the headlight switch.) Do you want any installed? Maybe I asked you a long time ago since I usually do but you know my memory! If you do I can get the parts locally. DV PS Usually on a Cobra I put them under each side of the dash |

But sure! Go a head and put the lights in. Under the dash sounds perfect!!! |

Cpteddie,
A small glitch(?). Your Lucas headlight switch doesn't have a provision for courtesy lights so.......we can have them operate by "doors" only or a simple Lucas On/Off toggle can be put in so you can have the lights on via switch or doors? Cripe might as well have a glove box light too!? :) DV |
Would it just be easier to replace the Lucas switch with a switch that can do it all? If so, lets do that.
What do you think? |
In all honesty I don't know if Lucas makes such a switch- since it is a grounded operated circuit. Puttiing another switch is in no big deal anyway! Just more cool loking switches on the dash........... :)
