Well. Another Saturday and another visit to DVs shop and the first thing I have to say is.... Boy are we getting close to the finish line! :3DSMILE: !

The second thing is... Man. When you see a true craftmans work, it is impressive. Got to see first hand DVs razor treatment to perfect the finish before the last final coats of clear. It is something you have to see in person, but I can tell you the quality of the final finish will be spectacular!!!

Here's a few pictures....

Capteddie, It looks to me like you have a big empty hole where the engine is supposed to go. I really like that color. Good choice.

John

Thanks for the compliments. The color is the same as my F150. The two of them are going to look sweet together :3DSMILE:

Thanks! I can't take credit for that. The shop that built the motor is responsible for how it looks in that picture. Not only did they build a little small block monster, but they took the extra time to make sure it was visually good looking also.

onefastmustang 04-26-2009 03:09 PM

Looks nice.. I have never liked my spark plug wires.. they don't seem to be the right lengths.. I have thought about doing some custom cut ones..

capteddie 04-27-2009 10:07 AM

Oh DV...... ;)

Here we go.... It's now legal :3DSMILE:

Cpteddie,
This is one addition you will appreciate. For tubular lower arms; I simply cut a 2"x6"x3/16's piece of steel, drilled 'through holes' 4"s apart and welded the plates in place.

9 hours after the above picture:

Def-Con 5 has been reached!
Cpt. I don't know if the photo shows much difference from the pictures you took a week ago- but the difference in person is very mucy obvious. Next photos will be outside on the jig or on the frame!

DV/CPT, It looks fantastic.

capteddie 05-04-2009 05:23 AM

Hard to tell by the picture. But seeing and feeling first hand the benifit of the scraping. I'm sure it is great! :3DSMILE:

Can't wait to see the next pictures!!!

Double Venom 05-05-2009 02:00 PM

Are you Brave enough?

For those that have asked, close up / detail pictures of how I do final paint work.....
First one is of the second door final painting. Still has too much orange peel for my tastes- Second picture shows the left of the same door with the left 'shave' to finality.

3rd picture is a small sag I found today on the LR fender-'scraping' started.....

4th picture is final sraping, 600 wet sand then 800 wet-ready to buff.....
