Hi Guys,

With a recent sale of an SPF Daytona coupe for $250k my Daytona for $62k with complete SB100 registration is looking more and more like a bargain.

BTW my Daytona is also signed by Carroll Shelby.

Hopefully that won't bring the value down too much... Good luck!

The midyear Corvette factory sidepipes were functional. They were fairly small diameter (2"?) dimpled straight pipes. They sounded pretty good, but a little loud for some of the local fuzz. Not nearly as loud as my snake, though. Rich

Hi guys,

I had read where the SPF Daytona that brought $250k had functional sidepipes.....Hmmmm that must be why it is at least $160k over priced.

Still makes mine look like a bargain for somebody.

TTT

Just letting everybody here know that the Daytona is still available, I have had some interest in a few trades for some great cars but, I am only interested in a cash deal.

Driving to Sant Barbara this weekend in the Coupe to a Wind and Waves car show.....I will have discrete "For Sale" sign sitting on it while we are there.

So, Tony - how goes the sale on your Daytona?

By the way, are you an engine guy, i.e. you can personally keep it running well?

Thanks for Asking,

I have decided to low key the sale of the Daytona, if somebody comes to me and wants to look at the car seriously and make a cash offer, I would consider it. Everything is for sale at the right number but, I really enjoy the car. We are looking at building a new house with much more garage space. My issue in selling the Daytona was making room for the GT40 this fall.

I have the TEC3 engine management system in this car and once it was set up right the fuel injection/ignition controls etc. are always set up.....it took a bit to get it there but. now it is great. I am an engine guy but more attuned to standard systems than some of the High tech functions. I think it is the best mix of Classic look combined with modern technology.
