I have no doubt that I will pull myself out of this hole in life that I seem to have dropped into, and I sure would like to be able to help others when that happens. Is that OK with you? I think Ed's address has been posted on this thread. Thanks so much, John. I remember seeing pics of your CCX 289 car, what a beautiful machine. You do outstanding work! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your kindness and generosity. I hope all your family members came out the far end of this journey well and are leading happy productive lives. That's certainly my goal, and you and all the members of our Cobra family who are so generously contributing to the car and their supportive words are going a ling way, longer than most of you realize, toward making that happen. Thank you, John, and my eternal thanks to all of you. What an amazing group of people we have assembled here.

Doug,
It seems like the plan is to 'Pay It Forward', that being the case, I will send everything I have sitting around here, most of it is brand new. Whether its used on your car or another, its all good. Will try to pack it up today, latest by Monday and get it out to Ed.
I have seen the best in people and my family when their backs were against the wall with this disease. Amazing things can happen!
Hang in there and best of luck!
JM

That's a tremendous gesture, John. I am so appreciative of what you and everyone else has done here. I'm hopeful that I can devise a plan to use only what's needed for my build and forward everything remaining to the next Cobra guy who needs help. I've said it many times here, and I'll say it again, you guys are incredible. I don't think it's sunk in yet what you're all doing. What an amazing group of guys you all are.

Thanks so much for your offer, I really do appreciate your kindness and generosity.

Maybe someone who is a regular over on the FE Forum could repost this query? Someone over their must have an extra set laying around after upgrading.

There is a couple sets of 390 heads on craigslist here in Tucson. They'd need to be rebuilt but they are fairly cheap. One set is 1969. Would those be something of interest?

Just a note to all, I will be out of the country starting tonight and back next Sun. Please continue to send paypals for donations. If you'd like to mail a check and you PM me, it will probably be a week before I get back to you with my address. (unless you PM me before about 1pm today, in which case hopefully I can get back to you today)
Thank you so much to those that have given so far. To date we have raised $2,855 in paypal and checks from 28 donors, plus a bunch of folks that have donated a lot of value in parts and services.
Thanks!

WOW! This is just unbelievable, incredible, amazing........I'm out of words to describe what you've all done. Just a quick story to let you guys know how what you've done here has helped. I went to the employee lot at the airport today, only to find that my daily driver, a nondescript 2005 Chevy TrailBlazer, was stolen. It's been a stressful and aggravating day to say the least, and with all that's gone on and going on in my life right now, this is the last thing I need. However, I just turned on the computer and read all the posts here and the wonderful, tremendously generous things that you've all done, and equally important, the supportive, kind words and thoughts that you've all sent my way, and I'm right back up and fighting again. I can't tell you guys how the things you are doing and saying here are helping, in a way that extends way past the build of the car. You guys are the best, I am incapable of adequately expressing my thanks and my admiration for you all. As I said above, you're an outstanding group of guys, and I thank you all so much.

Here you go!
Doug,
I wish I could have donated some parts or service but I sent a little of the green stuff. You'll at least need it for gas!
Best of Luck!!!

My goodness, Rod. I was just running through all the posts again and realized that I never thanked you. Please forgive my oversight, I can assure you it was not intentional. I truly appreciate your generosity and kindness. I hope to one day be burning gas in this little bugger, for a week or so I had given up hope of that ever happening. You guys rekindled that dream and once again it's up and running, as am I. Thanks to you, Rod, and so many others, this looks like it'll one day be a proper car. Many, many thanks. Again,, Rod, please accept my apology for my inadvertant oversight.

Doug,
Shipped the Holley Red Electric Fuel pump out at lunch and is scheduled to be delivered on Thursday. I now noticed we were suppose to put your name inside the package so let Ed know this is for your car. Funny I actually owned the Team Jenny Kirkham FIA for a year or so and didn't know Ed still collect for that project every year. Good luck with the car and your health!!
