Doug,

Shipped the Holley Red Electric Fuel pump out at lunch and is scheduled to be delivered on Thursday. I now noticed we were suppose to put your name inside the package so let Ed know this is for your car. Funny I actually owned the Team Jenny Kirkham FIA for a year or so and didn't know Ed still collect for that project every year. Good luck with the car and your health!!

I really appreciate that, Gary. Thank you so much. I owe Ed a call just to touch base, I'm sure he's taking good care of the stuff that arrives. The Kirkham must have been an awesome car, aren't they all? Thanks again, Gary, I hope one day to return this kindness that you've all extended to me to another brother in need.

This puts vinegar in a Ol' mans veins.! (And the wife thought I was going to have a boring winter!)

Brent,
Nothing obvious has popped up yet. Between shipping back and forth across the country, buying valves, labor, etc....the costs of using a old Ford set of heads are adding up. I'm wondering if it's not better and easier in the long run to just look for a set of Edelbrock heads and be done with it? What are your thoughts on that? Your earlier remark to me about the challenges in dealing with 50+ year old parts and the unforeseen problems that presents really struck home with me.

I'm thinking that to get a set located, ship them likely multiple times, buy valves, retainers, keepers, seals etc, then to get them boiled, magged, machined, only to find somewhere in that process that they're cracked or warped, repair that damage, etc.... Now if they needed to be milled, you deal with fitment issues, which is always a challenge on an FE...........perhaps the Edelbrocks are beginning to look cost effective. Your thoughts and expertise on this would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone else has experienced issues along this line, please chime in. Thanks, everyone.
Doug

767,
Nah, leave the broom home. My real pet peeve is having a clean shop, although right now after last winter, spring, and helping a widow sell dozens of engines, thousands of parts, the shop has taken a little beating the last year. I have a large professional floor scrubber/polisher which I usually use once a week.

Getting my sons 23' Carver ready to give to him for his wedding present, making room for "CptEddies" Cobra to finish up, WAITING for my bender parts to finish up a dozen CR Roll Bars, and of course prepping for your parts and eventually your Cobra spot- All is good!

But stop in anytime! Direct flying to Grand Rapids, or Grand Rapids-hop to Muskingeon, or GR, Muskingeon, grasshopper flight to Ludington
Pick Up available at any combination!

Thanks, Ed. Looks like I need to get up there with a broom and lend a hand, no?
