I have seven (7) more weeks to the day and list or no list I am looking forward to June 24. I have worked steady for 51 years and it is time to take a little break. I worked through HS and College and aside for a semester or two in college and a couple corporate downsizings, I have always worked . No complaints , rather I am thankful I could work.
On another issue I have been having issues with my clutch not engaging enough so I re-bled my clutch MC last night and I was able to get enough action on my tob to engage my clutch enough that I can shift through all six forward gears but I couldn't engage reverse. My clutch MC is a 5/8" Wilwood and I think I need more travel to release the dual clutch system I am running so today I will venture down to my local speed shop and pick up a 3/4" MC and see if that gives me enough clutch travel to get this thing to go cart stages.

Clois,

Retirement was the 2nd greatest day in my life. The funny thing; now that I have been retired for 7 years I am trying to figure out where did I ever find time to work.

I had to work late last night but I did manage to remove the 5/8" mc and replace it with the new 3/4" clutch mc. Hopefully, I can bleed it tonight and have a go cart tomorrow. Ready for some things to go right with this build.

Today I had a successful go cart ride and all is good Except I'm not happy with the steering. It's not bad but I think I need to address the alignment of the steering column. I had to modify it to allow for the size of the Coyote engine. I think it may be binding a little but it may be because everything is new. Next ride. After the rain stops this afternoon, maybe

since I can't figure out how to post a video here, I am posting a link to my facebook page which allows me a little more freedom.

Clois,

Congratulations on your upcoming retirement. When I retired I had a period of about 4 months that I had to adjust to not going to work every day, but now I have it down pat. The Coupe will help a lot as I didn't have anything going at that time to occupy me.

I can't see the videos on Facebook but am sure that I will see some at a later date. I post mine of You Tube so that is where I go for most of them.

Ron

All my gauges are working except my fuel gauge so I removed it from my tank and was checking it's continuity etc. As it turns out I have a 22 gal fuel cell and I only put in two gallons which is hardly enough to move the needle. Gauge works fine because while I had it out and wired I rotated the cylinder so to move the float inside to different levels and my gauge reads correct. Just a little paranoid I guess.

Main body should be ready in a couple weeks (I hope) so I am going to start the body work on my doors, nose, and pontoons (which house my side pipes) and I am sending my side pipes off to be ceramic coated WHITE by Jet Hot in Oklahoma City. Seems as though things are moving albiet slowly.

Once I get my body back from the fabricator I can finalize my dash and door panels and get them off to upholstry. As with many projects you need one thing to finish the next etc. Patience Grasshopper as Mr. Miagi said.

Last info from Clois I believe was back in 2018 that it was in the shop ready for paint. That was after running into some problems with a fabricator or shop that I think led to him taking legal action to resolve. I hope all is well with Clois - he was always a nice guy with helpful and interesting posts. Hopefully someone else here has heard from or been in contact with him.
