I painted the fender vents which have been a problem. I've painted them 3 times now with touch up guns and air brushes and still haven't managed to get a finish good enough to go with untouched. An air brush was about the only way to get to the back side of the louvers. I'm resigned to having to de-nib them and color sand the paint. There are usually just 2 or 3 little nibs or small defects each time but they drive me crazy. I'm not sure how I'm going to polish them yet. I've experimented with a dremil and some buffing rolls but it wasn't what I need for a final finish. Painting them is truely a pain. I wish I had them powder coated. |
