OK...it's gone more than a fair bit wonky now. Please stop attacking each other, ERA and myself. I'll post with details (as best I can) if anything changes. Until then, please, let the issue sit.
Thank you,
Scott

LOL, I didn't want to make that comparison!

Kristen, that is the point i made like 3 pages ago. This thread is worthless since it is always going to be one sided.

The was OBVIOUSLY an agreement or he would not have recieved any of his deposit back at this point.

Jose, I don't control the web servers or the content that has been deemed improper to the military. I maintain the connection to the world.

This will be my last post on this thread as all it is doing is getting SOME, not all, owners panties in a wad. There is so much speculation in this thread it's not even funny! That's what happens when the conversation only has 1 side. No owner will ever believe that their manufacturer would ever do wrong! I'm sure potential owners will read this thread and it will be a red flag just as I said from the get go. Even with all the excuses for Era, it's still unacceptable to not return phone calls. Heck, at a minimum, return the call and say, "We don't owe you anything!" At least then we would see some sign of life! Not doing anything is the equivalent of just hoping the problem will go away.

Pavulon, sorry to tear your thread up. Unfortunately for you, it appears you have no written documentation stating what you are owed. For all we know that is nothing. I can understand your frustration with the lack of communication, it's unfortunate. I would consider a call saying that you are owed nothing positive communication at this point! With nothing in writting, and a written disclosure on their part on the website, you will most likely get nothing as you really don't have much ground to stand on.

I'm done here

Default Goodbye to "what would you do?

fsstnotch "Jose, I don't control the web servers or the content that has been deemed improper to the military. I maintain the connection to the world."

Oopps I see we are back pedaling. First You were the Internet (Master of your Domain) and now you just maintain the connection to the world.

It is clearly not an authorize use of the US Army Internet since they have close you other sites and you do not have the authority to change it or open it up.

I do not blame ERA or Peter if he does not want to talk to Pavulon after this post All I can tell you that very few business would tolerate a cancellation of an order after the start of production and return the deposit or any amount after the deposit. After all why ask for a deposit if the customer can request the deposit and cancel the order without any harm or lost. We are talking here about big boy toys and things that are not necessary. If you are going to buy it you must be able to afford it. You must me responsible of your decisions or actions. If you cancel and affecting others do not expect someone else to pay for your mistakes.

It is also the end for me at this posting. I hope the forum goes to better subjects related to HOW TO or see the pictures of my new car etc.

Sorry to all that I had to be nasty but I do not like the use of the word dirt to a Gentleman like Peter Portante. Also excuse my English since it is not my first language.

Jose,
The internet access for soldiers/civilian workers in Iraq is provided by a company back here in the US. They are the ones that have the filtering device. The military didn't set the policy of what is allowed and what is not other than some very basic stuff. I can tell you this as fact because I was the one that installed it for them.

It is not an issue of who cut the access or from where. Read his claim of power originally. Also it is clear that the use is unauthorized. Also is not the use of unauthorized Internet is the adjectives he used against a person that he does not know and the circumstances.

I understand where you are coming from on the comments about Peter/ERA. I was commenting on "It is clearly not an authorize use of the US Army Internet" comment you made
Browsing the web is a service provided to them and is not unauthorized in most cases. It's not the military comm systems or other combat systems being used. They have PC's available at the bases for people to use for internet access and as a means to communicate with family/friends at home as well as browse the web.

You have two type of access one should be fairly open to communicate with family and friends around the base and the other is official. Those are restricted to "reduce" the fooling around and avoid picking up spyware/adware and other nice stuff like in any industry. I do not think he was using the family and friends because it was restricting to some "harmless" sites. The equipment that he was using is his work computer and this is the unauthorized use.

That is interesting. It is the second time in two days that someone accuse me in this site of too many ASS-umptions. The first one was wrong. Which assumptions?

1. He posted on this website that he could reach only this site (club cobra) and FFR.

2. You have posted that they have computers to communicate with friend and family and general internet use. Are this computers restricted not to enter Hurricane Motorsport site and other Cobra's sites like he accepted. Public computers are restricted to pornosites etc to avoid embarrassment etc. But restrict a kit car manufacturer from general internet use and recreation 7000+ miles away from home. I have restricted Porsche, Motorcycle, Yahoo, Hotmail and other sites in business equipment

3. Also he never defended that he was not using his work at computer.

I always like to learn new things. Which is my wrong assumption?
