A euphemism for "testicles", one's manly hood.
EDIT: Oops! Too late.

Yes, thank you very much. I have just never heard that expression before. It's never used at the oyster bar; perhaps back in the kitchen....

You're definitely not going to get the Latino vote with that remark.
Kinda backs up ERAChas' original remark about the oyster bar. You know...a white vs. blue collar thing.

I like the vintage look of aged magnesium. ;)

Jeff,
Your car is looking awesome :D and the guys at ERA are making great progress!
I like the black wheels too :)
Could even go with something similar for my car ... but first I might need to start a thread ... shades of black for FIA wheels, just to keep Rodney on his toes :LOL:

Hurray! That's wonderful. You know they're about to take their Christmas break at ERA. How much more work is there to do on it?

All covered up? Things seemed to be getting "tucked away" for the two week break.

Just the road testing and final tuning by Jim Inglese. My last decision is whether or not to have them install the "Powered by Ford" badges above the fender louvers. I am inclined to do so, and Peter P. recommends adding them. However, Doug likes it "clean". Thoughts?
BTW, the Terlingua decal that appears on the right side of the car in the video was put on with double-sided tape just to see what it looks like. Don't think I will be putting those on permanently.

Bet you can't wait to get that baby on the road!
Congratulations !!!

I concur with Peter as well … the Powered by Ford badges are very cool and I would go with them. Are you going with or without Cobra or AC badges on the 'bonnet and boot' ? I believe the FIA cars did not have them, correct?
For 2136 I plan on the fender badges but will pass for the moment on the Cobra badges on the hood and trunk. Would like to use an ERA badge, if they are ever produced. Hope my car is next in the queue :):)

You have great taste and the car sounds wonderful.
My personal taste is badge-less, but my car is badge-less too.

I'm going to pass on the Cobra logo badges on the front and back. Some FIA/USRRC cars had no badges at all, some had all four badges, and some had just the "Powered by Ford" badges. So any of those three combinations can be claimed to be "correct". I copied the dash of CSX 2557 and 2558: both of those cars had just the "Powered by Ford" badges, so I will probably add them to be consistent. One detail I passed on that all the FIA/URSSC cars had was the bungee cord holes below the trunk handle. Can always add them if I change my mind.
