The engine is a 427 SO with a 428 crank. Documentation that I have for the engine indicates that it was internally balanced but the harmonic balancer has definitely been balanced. Since the engine builder has passed away, I can't ask him any questions about the build, so thought it would be wise to use the existing balancer.
