I read that, too. If memory serves, I think the OHV engines are banned from competing... can't remember. I noticed they forgot to mention anything about the crankshaft. I was surprised at some of the "modifications" that they didn't allow.
I'm also not sure the side-oiler blocks would be allowed to compete. Do they meet the "commercially available" criteria? I mean they're as rare as hen's teeth these days. Like you, I would LOVE to see some of the Cobra engine builders enter this one. Are you listening, Bill?
Did you notice in the "letters from readers" section that someone mentioned a source for aluminum 460 blocks? I thought that was interesting.
