For those of you who have bought wrecked 427 cars...

This is the entire front clip to one of our 427 cars. The clip is not yet wired. (I did a YouTube on that some time ago for the adventurous.)

Retail on a front clip is $10,000. I'll let this one go for $6,000

This will have to be shipped truck freight. It will cost $200 to crate it up and at least $500 to ship it.

David,
Do the 427 boxes mount the same way as the 289 versions and is there any more leg room? I could use a couple more inches.
Thanks,
Jay

They mount the same way, but there is less room as the 427 boxes are smaller than the 289 boxes.

If the 427 boxes are smaller, I guess I need to stick with the 289 style. If you find a pair of those, I'll take them.

Thanks for putting all of the goodies out there for us.

For sure we have a left (driver's side) 289 box. I don't know if we have a passenger's side box. You can put a 289 driver's box on the left and a 427 box on the right if you want. They all mount the same way.

I think I ran out of scratch and dent reservoirs some time ago Oh well. I'll cut this off at some point. I'll look for more of the Polish mounts. I probably have some somewhere. If not, I'll figure something out.

I don't need anything, but I sure have enjoyed following the post.

I am surprised that in your shop you haven't bent some 1" pipe and made some rings. Polish the upper half and tape the lower have for a semi Kirkham feel. ...maybe you're digging looking for the 1" pipe...

Well, they're definitely an advanced workout device. Most people could not do anything with them, since they can't pull themselves up especially since they're not a stationary bar. Also, if you don't strengthen all the proper upper body muscles first, the rings could hurt (tear) your rotator cuff and/or other shoulder parts. Be careful.

I most certainly appreciate the words of caution! The destabilizing of the rings works many muscles at once. I am starting very slowly. Push ups, pull ups, dips (all assisted in one form or another). I did my first work out on them last night. (That was the whole purpose of cleaning out the attic in the first place--which started this thread.) I used to climb a lot. Trying to get back into shape. Maybe I should start a Kirkham gym thread

Hey David, are you doing some R & D on the next project? Maybe the "Kirkham Office Gym"? Please, not until my car is done! Lol. Darren

Darren,

We got your car out a couple of days ago. It is now on a roll-around cart. We will be starting on it shortly. It is going to be a killer car. How about a billet intake for your motor

Did I ever post the billet valve covers we did for the SOHC?

I'll post when I get to the shop tomorrow--unless I HAVE to make it to the gym today, you know, just to check on it

What are you using for an intake manifold? I think we should billet one.

Default more 289 parts

Hello David, Do you have a 289 nose without the oil cooler opening? How about a set of shocks for an original 289?
I will call tomorrow to pay for the billet brake containers and ask for more 289 parts.
thanks, karl

No, those are the only noses we have in stock right now. It really isn't that hard to cut the scoop off if you want to. It is quite a bit easier than welding the nose onto the rest of the body. The only shocks we have are Penske shocks. We don't have any scratch and dent ones. (Just let the only set we had go).

David,
I'll take the left 289 footbox you have and talk to you on Monday about the 427 version. Do you also have the gas pedal assembly?

Thanks,

289 gas pedal assembly. (They are quite a bit different than the 427 throttle pedal assembly). These are hard to make as we billet them to look like the original casting. They retail for $350. I'll let 5 of them go at 1/2 price. Only 5. 1 assembly per customer only. Place your orders now. I'll make a run tomorrow and the next day. (If we have an open machine).
