I am not quite sure what you mean. Do you want the conversion mounts that enable you to mount a Jaguar differential into a Cobra chassis?

Also, gas tank support straps. Any luck?

Today was a very busy day. The phone rang and rang and we sold a ton of parts.

I will look tomorrow some more for these parts. Today we sold a lot of original parts. That surprised me. Usually we only sell a few original type suspensions/year.

We do have 2 sets of the Jag differential brackets in stock. They don't have the mounting bushings in them, though that shouldn't be hard to come up with. Retail on the mounts is $395. I'll sell one of the sets for $150.

We might have some gas tank straps. I'll have to check.

Answers below:

1. Pedal assembly
How much of the assembly do you want? Do you want the reservoirs, reservoir lines? Do you want original type pedals or do you want Kirkham pedals?

2. Master cylinders
What sizes?

3. Hydraulic clutch
Do you want our hydraulic throw out bearing assembly, or an original type one? What transmission?

4. Reservoirs
Billet aluminum? Original steel type?

5. Carpet
Nylon or wool?

6. Passenger seat
Yes, we have seats in stock. They are $900 each. They are very high quality. We even use leather for the welting. The pleats are true tuck-and-roll, not just sewn down over foam. They are quite nice. Just for this thread I'll let one go for $700

7. E-brake boot
Original cars don't have them.

8. Radiator
We don't have any scratch and dent ones in stock. I think we are out of radiators right now. I'll check.

9. Radiator tubes and hoses
Yes, I saw a dinged set today. $300 retail--$150.

10. Header tubes or headers
Stainless or steel?

11. Sidepipes
stainless or steel?

12. 427 FE engine intake manifold plate
Not sure what you are referring to? I did take down several intake manifolds today. We even have a 1965 Medium Riser dual quad intake I found.

13. Engine pulleys
We have some harmonic balancer pulleys. $100 retail. $25 until they are gone. I think we have 4 or 5. They are from Keith Craft. They fit a Big Block Chevy (don't worry). They need to be slightly slotted to fit an FE. We have used several of them, but finally ended up making our own matched set.

We also have some alternator pulleys--I think 3. $10 each

14. Differential vent and reservoir
We use our brake cans for this. A brake can is $100 retail. We have a few scratch and dents. Maybe 2 or 3. I'll let them go for $25 each.

15. Driveshaft
I'll post the part numbers.

16. Driveshaft safety loop
I sold 16 of these today! LOL. $125 retail. $75. There are only 3 left. It is a complicated piece--not just a "U" bolt.

17 Exterior mirror
Which mirror do you want?

18 Visors
I doubt we have any scratch and dents.

19. Wind wings
I don't think we have any scratch and dents...but...not that I think about it...

We do have a LOT of extra hardware. I'll check on this. You can always cut them out from plexiglass and then use the hardware. I'll post drawings if you are interested.

20. Shifter
Which shifter? Which transmission?

21. Throttle linkage
$125 retail. I'll let one go for $75. Again, it is a complicated part.

22. Vent kit
I don't think we have any scratch and dents. I'll have to check.

Thanks!

David

Yes, the piano is scratched...quite a bit in fact. It is scratched because it is loved. Just tonight my kids played Mozart, Bach and, Chopin. I love to listen to them play. I stopped taking lessons when I got so heavily involved with politics. I still play, however.

The piano is not for sale. I don't believe I will ever sell it. If I get a new one, I'll just take this one to the shop

Actually, the "attic cleaning" is because I am building a gym here at the shop. I need the space to get ready for some challenges this next summer

Happy Thanksgiving to all you guys!

David

Yes, I am looking for the carrier that mounts a Jag diff to the Cobra 289 style frame. If that is what is mentioned in the previous post of yours for $150, I'll take it. Can I give you a call Monday to take care if the particulars or would online/PayPal be easier?

Thanks... -John

Original offering= 25K "Kirkham in a box" (aka: Crate Kirkham). Maybe a forgotten car where someone put down a deposit and then forgot to pick it up . You know, sitting in a crate in the corner of the shop, unbuilt, unloved, but not unwanted . I've got the perfect drivetrain for a 427SC and sell my ERA as a roller (unless you want an ERA roller without motor and transmission as an even trade for a "Kirkham in a box" ).

Have a great holiday weekend with your family.

I'm getting into Crossfit now. I really like it. Too many fun things to do while you are working out.

Joining a "normal" gym doesn't really cut it as they are quite boring. Who wants to go there and run on a treadmill for hours? A critical part of working out is being with your friends. I got thinking about it. Where are all my close friends? Right here at the shop. So, I just decided to make a gym here so we could all work out together. Besides, they will all feel better and be happier after working out. It gives us all a goal to work for together.

John,

Sorry, bad news. We do have the Jag diff mounts--but they will not work in a 289 chassis. The suspension tower is simply too tight. We worked and worked on that some time ago but there is no way to get one to fit.

You will HAVE to go with an original style differential. We might have a scratch and dent one floating around if you are interested. It could save you a lot of money.

Bill,

Oh yes, our experiment into fiberglass cars that turned into aluminum cars.

I wish we could sell rollers at $25K. Today, a frame and body goes for more than that. (Falling dollar and all that).

As for a scratch and dent frame and body--you never know what we will find around here.

David,

Would you have one of the really neat shifter rod kits for a toploader in the S&D bin?
I am using the forward mount position (289?) with a Hurst shifter.

Hmmmm,

I seem to remember some short shifter rods somewhere...

I'll look tomorrow. At this rate the shop will be cleaned out in no time.

Racer_X

What is the serial number of your car? I need it to see what parts you need.

Pedal box - Stainless - bare, no components needed
We do have a few stainless pedal boxes. How about $75?

Left side foot box - fiberglass
$400 retail--$200 today

Left front suspension upper a-arm w/ balljoint - machined aluminum - early car (2004).
I need a picture to see what you need. We have gone through several upgrades in suspension over time.

Left lower front suspension a-arm w/ balljoint - mild steel tube - early car (2004),
I need a picture to see what you need. We do have a few control arms left--not many, however.

Left side steering knuckle, spindle, axle stub, bearing, disk assembly.
Need a picture.

Any left front side body components and nose
hmmm, I think we have a few parts left. What exact body parts do you need? Send a picture and I'll see what I can dig up.

Front Left suspension structure - welded onto chassis-stainless.
Are you talking about the frame here? Which tubes?

Left side 427 headers and sidepipe - mild steel. or both sides in stainless
I will look for scratch and dent exhaust. There is one guy ahead of you in line and I think he is going to want the steel we have. We also have a set of stainless that were damaged.

Driver and Passenger seats
$1800 retail...$1400 today.

WOW,

I'm beginning to think we might have enough scratch and dent parts around here to make a complete car

Come to think of it...one of my guys just did that EXACT same thing a couple of months ago. He put together a COMPLETE car with scratch and dent parts from around the shop. My dad even GAVE him a 360 motor out of a pick up. He pulled it out, put on an Aviad pan and BOOM--started right up. Working here does have some cool advantages.

I generally go for the conversation and flat screen TV's. Cute females in leotards helps matters too.

The hard part isn't beginning the workout regimen (e.g., New Year's resolutions), but making it part of the rest of your life.
