Just trying to help little Mike prepare for the real world.
Ron  **) |
GOOOOOOOOODDDDDD Morning CC.
Yes folks, it really is Saturday. Yes, it snowed again last night. We got more. Kind of wish I had purchased about $10000 of KMart two days agao. Well, in keeping with the "chat room"...chat. I G2G. |
Gooood Morning to! Hmm - no snow here today - don't think we'll be
getting any either! |
A great Saturday. It was 88 yesterday and is supposed to be around the same today. To hot to stay out working for very long as there was a little humidity mixed in. And I am to old for the heat as I have had several heat strokes and have to really watch this. But this is just perfect weather and has been all week.
Tru, If you like I can post a picture of what the sun and grass look like. That way when you snow is gone you will recognize it.  Ron :D %/ |
bye bye, off to Orlando!!
Got it Earl. Kristen |
Ohh wow, it is still freezing outside.
Good morning everyone. Looks like 24 hours and no posts in the chat room. Hmmmm... |
Tru,
It was 88 here yesterday and is supposed to cool down to around 80 today as there is a hard wind blowing. This whole week has been great. I just hate the wind as it really messes my sinuses up and the medicine for them is almost as bad as having my head feel as if it is going to explode. We will have some more cold weather soon though. :( Ron **) |
Yesterday was a perfect top-down day. Mid 70's.
Gunrack is still in primer at Auto Hospital, Dr. Paintguy says maybe 4 weeks, to paint, stripe, clearcoat, buff and detail. Try and find a BMW radiator in rural Oklahoma... Yeah. But it's in there, now. Fired Gunrack up yesterday. Let her go to operating temperature. WHANNA! Lumpity-lumpity-lump. Work stopped in the shop, traffic slowed down outside. Keep in mind that I have been in Cobra withdrawal since two days after Christmas when I was run through a barbed-wire fence. Yeah. leave it to me to have bad Karma. See my other posts. Entertaining but true. |

Hope to see you in London. |
Gooooooooooood Morning people (and space creatures!)
|
Monday morning again. Mike you are up early so you must have something you have to do. Going to be another nice day here today except for the wind. That has my sinuses in a mess. To much pollen in the air. We need a good rain to clear it out. :)
Ron ;) |
That is some thing I have not figure what I am going to do. I have no top for the cobra and, well if I am out and about, what do I do if it rains?
I thought about just putting an umbrella over as much as I could and weathering it, but that would lead to a mess. I have not come up with a good idea for a top. Lone Star has told me they are not doing tops any more. Got any ideas? Suggestions? Comic relief not withstanding. |
Tru,
There used to be an upholstery guy here that built custom tops for different cars and they were great. I don'thave any idea what the cost was, but you might check with some of your local upholstery shope or see if any other brand top would fit on yours. Other than that if it rains drive fast and blow it over the top of the car. Just kidding. :) Ron **) |
You are kidding, but that's what Lone Star said was to drive at least 40 and the interior would see little water. Go figure.
I'm gonna check around. |
Hi All, just stopped in to say HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bike Week is over and so are the 15, and some time 19 hr days.... Had my alarm set fo 815 this morning, must have hit the snooze a dozen times and finally got up around 930....have a "S _ _ _ Load" of erands to do today....and catch up on mail, e-mail, and messages I see I have awaiting me, so if you sent me any mail or messages I hopefully will get to them tonight. Have not heard from CG yet, she must be toooooo busy terrorizing Orlando and Mouse World............. Have a good day everyone.....currently 68 degrees here and rising! |
Tru,
I haven't actually tried the drive faster and blow the rain over the top, but another person here got caught out in the rain with his and he said he didn't have hardly a drop hit him until he got home and had to slow down to trun into his driveway. Also I don't know how hard it was raining when he was out. :) Earl, Good to see you back and posting. I guess Kristen probably has Orlando ready to ask for Foreign Aid by now.  Ron :D |
I got caught out in my old CJ7 in a downpour one time. At about 25-30 Mph surprisingly little water came in. Even with the top and doors off...............
It was mortal HE. . at then red light though. I swear I could have jumped into a swimming pool and been less wet! By the time I got home I had three inches of rain in the floorboards. |
I have been caught a few times here (yes, it does rain sometimes) and
as long as I am moving, surprisingly dry (with the exception of water running around the windshield on the fenders and running in). Got caught in Haleiwa once but was totally dry in 15 minutes after getting on H-1, which was in the sun. At least it is warm! |
Tru, lone stars have a 94" wheel base, correct? I believe the new Everett Morrison has a 93-94ish wheel base as well, so they may have a top that fits yours.
