Steve,
I just called that place and ordered two of the Dog Bark Pro units. They told me they do have a range of 300' and that the batteries will normally last from 4 to 6 months depending on how much it is used. That will be perfect for my problem as the worst dog is about 150' away. If you want, I can let you know how they work when I receive them. They are shipped vai regular mail and should arrive next week.

Ron, that is an impressive car port in front of the garage. Is that cemented into the ground?

Very interested in the dog bark eliminator stuff. We have a set about 60' away that are always barking at each other. What was the link again?

Tru,
Thanks for the compliment on the car port. No, it isn't cemented to the ground. It is anchored by 10, 4' long form nails and two of them have ground straps that go to two 4' long steel ground stakes that are driven into the ground. So far it has withstood some very hard wind and it meets almost double the snow load standard for here. Really makesa nice shade in the Summer to pull the cars out under it and in the Winter it is dry.

Hi all, I am in Clarkesville, Ga. for a few days. Will be headed home on Saturday or Sunday. My surgery is scheduled for Monday at Noon. I will be in Halifax hospital till Thursday or Friday and then at home for 5 to 6 weeks. I will have my cell phone with me starting Tuesday, so, if you get a chance call and say hello.....Thanks, Earl (386-235-1047).
Just caught up on my reading of this post, boy have you guys been busy....nice squirrel story CG/RB or whichever it is today. Nice "RIDES" Ron...................
Take care all....I will try and make one more post Sunday before I am computerless for the week....I tried to get my wife to rent me a laptop and an air card for the week but she just "laughed" at me........................

Earl,
Best of wishes for your surgery. I will be praying for you and you will be back to your Cobra build before you know it. There is a small car show about 1 1/2 blodks from my house this afternoon and the Damboree Days parade tomorrow. So I will most likely walk over and look at the cars. Stay out of trouble in the hospital. Maybe they will furnish you with on-line access while you are in there.

be strong, Earl!
we are ALL thinking of you Earl, and sending prayers of strength and support. I'll give ya a call... you'll never know when!!
I am tired of squirrels and dogs (conversation)
certainly there is something else we can talk about???????
My hubby is thinking he wants a chevelle. I would prefer a GTO, but what do I know?? Can ya'll give me some ideas about them?
I know it would be wise to just go lurk around a chevelle forum, (like this one) so I'll probably do that. He would want it original, not necessarily great condition, but pretty good.... 4 speed. what else is there to know when looking?
have a good weekend everybody.
more later
Kristen

Kristen: A lot of Chevelles rusted at the bottom of the rear window, between the trunk lid and the window. Check there for any signs of rust/repair.
I personally like the "Coke-bottle" shape of the '66 GTO's!

Kristen....get em a Fairlane.
Check Hemmings, they almost always have chevells and GTO's. Please...If you get em something from the dark side... get him a Goat. Make sure the owners dog didn't drag a dead squirrel into the interior.
He'll probably like the 66-69 Fairlanes.... show him a LOT of FORDS BEFORE he decides on something from the dark side.

Kristen,
I liked the 66/69 Chevelles, but like mentioned above, check for rust and other things. The 69 MUST have the 454 engine in it.
Try to talk him into a 1964 Ford Fairlane Thuindebolt. Only 100 made and they are really something. That way he gets invited to all of the major Ford shows.
GTOs were great cars but just never really captured my interest. Very fast and had a selection of motors. Bad, Badder and Blown!
The there was another of my favorites. The Hemi Cudas and Chargers.

1970 was the year!
'70 chevelle with a 427 in it.
'70 super bird with a 426 in it.
1970 Mustang with a BB in it ( I like the 429, but would have taken a 427 cammer )
Any of the above would be fine for me.

Kristen has her research cut out for her now!
Since we started a wish list.... I'll take the 67 Coronet R/T with the 440 Max Wedge that my mom's bf has.
He'll never sell that thing... someone offered him $15,000 Cash for it... what a JOKE! All original, dog dish hubcaps, 2 Doors, standard interior...deffinatly a sleeper.

Trularin:
The comments "it works" I was referring to was that I was happy the link worked. The ultrsonic tranponder will work as well.
Flipper 35:
This unit covers a distance of 300'. I will try and post the link again, here goes.
www.ultimatebarkcontrol.com
If it does not work that is the website address, anyway.
Earl:
Our prayers are with you and your family. Don't stay away to long around here. Miss one day and you are three pages behind. Wow, what a great thread. What was this thread started for anyway?
Fred:
I have so had it with that dog. I always do my homework as to the best solution for a problem. I thank you for the lead to the ultrasonic transponder. I did not even know they existed a week ago.
Kristen:
You are so sweet. The reason you are tired of this is because you don't have a dog bugging the &^$&** outta you If you would just come by the house for a bar-b-que you would understand completley If you want a new dog for your very own I know where you can get one that just loves to converse with the sky. Thats ok, right? We don't have to talk solely about teh dogs, At least I don't think this thread has gone to the dogs. I will solve this problem for me and anyone else who wants help!
Ron:
That is the unit I am wanting to get. I have not ordered it yet. I did talk to them and they guarentee it to work or your money back. That is cool. What I am trying to do is to find the maunfacturer of the units, so I can contact them directly and add their product to my e-commerce web site. Contact me when you get your units in. E-mail me and I will call you.
As for the best car. I personally like the 72 year models. The Chevelle SS is one of my favorites. I also like the 69 Camero RS SS, the 66 Chevy ll, and the 70 Nova SS. I know this may tic some off, but I have never liked the Vetts at all. Not any year, or body style. I know they have been a very popular car for Chevy. I just don't like them. Big deal, right. One ou of, what five billion people don't like Vetts. I think Chevy is ok with that.
As for trucks I like the early thirties Chevy's and Fords. I would like to build a 1932 Ford four door short bed pick-up. I know Henry did not build one. I have researched this before and I think I can do it with two cabs. I have actually contacted a replica company that build old trucks. They will not make one but will sell me two metal cabs and I can do it myself. I just don't know if I am up to that much work.
