It does NOT put a different perspective on anything. The BS artists that make these crappy short films are left leaning distorters of facts. Most folks down here in the lower 48 want nothing more than to control our borders. Ever wonder why you do not have a border problem?

PS: Btw, I take a small amount of offense at your indirect suggestion (by blithely posting that stupid video) that Americans who support the fence and border control are racist. But then again, it was your suggestion. So what does that say about your inclinations?

You don't know him either, yet you threw the first punch just for presenting something you didn't like. Knock off the righteous indignation act - it is not going to get you anywhere.

Venamm, the tribes came in through Alaska. So Canada can blame the US for allowing the tribes to migrate. But since Russia owned it before we did...It's all the fault of the commies!!

And Mike is right - most of our ancestors came here through legal means after a government was set up. The problem we have is illegal immigrants. We have a legal means set up to allow people from just about any country to live in the US. We plan our resources around allowing in a pre-determined number of people. We have too many people entering the country, and they are throwing off those numbers. This ends up costing Americans more money to support them. The majority happens to be Mexican, but there are other nationalities as well. I would agree with you that Americans sometimes think that their poo don't stink, but in this case it has nothing to do with that. There is no racism or national superiority involved as the illegals are from a number of countries.

I don't know you well but at first impressions you seem kind and logical. You are correct if you have the time go back and read the threads he was the first to attack.

I understand the legal versus illegal we have our share here too. But they come not by border crossing but by visitors visa's. Common wealth countries have a freedom sort of speak to travel to other CW counties, and then they don't leave. The big ones are Jamaicans and East Indians. Not bashing them at all but a few refuse not to wait for the lengthy applications or registration process and just go AWOL once they enter.

Rather than dismantle any argument he was making you made personal comments to him regarding what he knows or does not know. If you think the facts are distorted, fine...tell him why and offer what you think are the correct facts. You also took the first offense, and make implications about his inclinations. And that is reading it with an open mind. If I were him then I would consider you fair game to make personal responses back (and he did).

Mike took the first swing at you, but you took the first swing at Scott with your comment that he must be related to Mike. That is not a good way to intruduce yourself to the forum. As for 'kind' - well - I can be quite tenacious when it comes to an argument and some do not view me as 'kind' as a result of that. I do make an effort to keep my discussions about the argument, and not make personal comments, though I will usually respond in kind if personal comments are made to me.

How about everybody knock it off and get back to illegals and fences before we get the thread shut down?
