I was not aware of this color much less its placement on original engines... I have looked at some many pics of original car engines and have always seen black. Hence i just assume original comp and s/c cars used black.

Good piece of info, though. I guess I like black better after all.

No worries on the seat tracks. I will not be drilling any holes or welding anything on the floor of my car

Hector, here's the original thread along with Sal's link to the tan Accel 8220 Cap. Distributor cap question Even though tan may be correct, it looks bad. Remember, all our cars are fake to begin with -- you should only copy something that was "original" if you still think it looks cool today.

Yeah, I agree with you, and that's what I wrote earlier... I'm keeping my black one
Maybe YOUR car is fake, but I drive a REAL Shelby Cobra ( I have read THAT thread somewhere else... could not help myself:roll eyes

I wish CC would let me post more pics, but I am SOL. Won't even load up my lower res pics from the iPhone anymore... oh well (yes, random thought)
