Leaf spring cars had leather on their inside the cockpit inner fenders. Leather went in first and then carpet was put in the floor and fit up to it thus hidding most of the edges of the leather.

Default Original Dash Material

Did anyone ever find the correct answer and/or source for the dash material?

Thanks

Default not much help but....

I eventually happnened to come across an offcut vynil roll at a kit car show that seemed to have the right sort of texture.

On closer inspection I think the 'grain' is a little shallower than it should be, but in the end, I reckoned I was starting to stray into the area of compulsive obsessive disorder.

I had a large whisky and decided to forget about it.

(but that didnt stop me making an ali rear bulkhead and making moulds for the inner fenders and then covering these in my newly acquired vynil. once a pedant, always a pedant).

And I thought it was just me!!! Probably more like about 99% of us on this forum. Maybe we need a self help section on the forum.. OCD/ADD/ADHD

Problem is, it's only till the whiskey wears off.

In order to help keep this thread alive - what material were the 427 street roadster seats covered in - leather or vinyl?

If it was answered above I apologize for reading over the top of it.
