Looks great Jeff! Do have provisions for a regular windshield or are you going to be doing the Ken Miles look with the goggles and helmet on every trip?

The old regulators say not to use solid state ignition systems. Anyone know why?

The old regulators cause voltage spikes that can damage solid state electronics.

Hi Jeff,
Are all of your grounds set up well, direct to metal on frame?

Alternator pulley size?
Ive found with my hipo the large pulley doesnt get the alternator spinning fast enough on short drives.

Ok,
All great questions....
Checked grounds, so far all checks out
Whether idle or at 70mph down the highway no charge
Mike Pack mentioned that the dash indicator has to be set correctly and its critical to the running of the system. Will check that tonight as it is direct to the "I" on the VG.
Mike Thank you..................... old electronics .......

With Mike's help........
Looks like I need to attaché the VR to the indicator light then connect it to "Run" on the ignition switch.
Also found an old diagram showing that..
Guess I will try to get this done today. Wish me luck

Here is an original diagram (put the three photos together) of the 1964 Ford alternator wiring diagram:

Jeff
you sure stator and field hooked up correctly? I struggled to determine which is which on the back of my Alternator.
Looking from behind the top spade is field. Also to find my upgraded reconditioned Alternator had a slight short which prevented a full charge whilst running with lights and fan on and drained the battery over 2 days.
Looking good and hope you get sorted in time for a few runs to enjoy.
Like the T10?
Ross
