Added a little more of a touch.
Happy at the moment, will touch up final details after adjustment.

Jeff, is that a 3623S Carter? Is that what was used with Webers?

Updates

Getting rid of the CSX7000 tank I had as its 8 and starting to seep...
Having my friend Craig C make a tank which will then be 100% alloy eliminating the need to replace later in life.

More as it arrives....

Jeff
Lucky I had your old car here for test fitting,
We added a little to the tank to take advantage of all the space available.
Are you having a get together this year?

Very nice job Jeff! Looks like Craig eke'd every last cubic inch of capacity out of it.
Often items constructed out of welded alum. alloy sheet look like 'works of art' to me....and this is no exception.
Well done, both of you!

Cheers
Glen

Jeff,

Looks great! There was not a lot of room to spare there. That extra capacity will come in handy on one trips. The weather is turning for the better.

More progress, it's a shame to have covered it up. Kudos to Craig!

Looking really good! Did you have to "grease" it up to get to fit back in there? That was exacting dimensions.

Always meant to ask, is your car painted the old Ford "Sunlit Gold"? When I turned 16 my folks purchased a new 68 Torino GT fastback/390 in Sunlit Gold with black C stripes. It looks about the same color and its a nice memory for me! Got my first ticket in that car- 100mph + on the freeway, watching the submarine races with my girlfriend in San Francisco Bay at nite , etc.

I would paint my car that color if my wife was not so in love with the Princess/Viking Blue.

I used 3021 as a paint code match. Over the years it no doubt changed and as it stands a closer relative to a Chrysler shade.

Very close to the Sunlit Gold for used in the late 60's.A friend of mone told me several years ago that the paint manufactures developed colors and would approach the car companies and contract to them to "lock" that color for a year or two for their exclusive use on new cars. The car company would come up with a marketing name for their use. It would then sometimes sit idle for a few years and come back with another car company- same chemistry, different name for them.

When I recently repainted my 67 Mustang and was looking for the color code I discovered 67 Mustang Candy Apple red was used several years foe different car companies on different years with different names just to prove my friend's comment.

I would be happy to take those terrible "Halibrand CA" spinners off your hands if you haven't already thrown them in the trash

Rubber gaskets were leaking pretty bad.
Found it time to replace with cork gaskets to avoid continued oil seepage.
Also back to original chrome VC.
Cinched up headers.
Now awaiting a non raining day to see what happens.
