Default Dominator kickdown linkage

Hi Guys,
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas, pictures or input on hooking up the C-6 kickdown linkage to a 750 Dominator. Although i love fabricating I know you guys will point me in the right direction.

Thanks,

Jay

You are probubly the first person to run a dominator with a ford automatic, that doesn't have a full manual valve body. (full race style carb with street type slushbox tranny?) A 750cfm carb is kind small for a 514, even if it is a dominator style body. I would swap to an 850 dp Holley and put the ford-type kickdown lever on the throttle shaft.

Lokar makes a cable type downshift setup for a C6. Looks clean and works well.

Guys,
Thanks for the compliment but I doubt I am the first person with my combination. Actually my 750 flows better than a stock 850 and if I am not happy with the performance I will replace the boosters and turn it into a 1050, which is more like what it needs. I personally like the adjustability of the dominator series carbs and , well it looks cool. What I am trying to achieve is responsiveness. I can sacrifice top end horsepower to do this and aside from going to fuel injection this is my approach. I can always change it later, always a work in progress.

I did fab up an extension to the linkage and tigged it on. It seems to work, but I guess I will find out. I am using the Lokkar down shift cable and it seems to be a nice piece.

Thanks for your help.

Jay
