Here's a dumb question: how do you know when you Avons are done, worn out? Are the belts showing through? You don't need much or any tread, do you? I mean, for street driving on perfectly dry days, how much tread do you need?

at 23 psi, is the the point at which the tires would just start to "turn over", i.e. any less inflation and you would start driving on the side wall? that's the point you look for on the track, right? (with Avons anyway; I heard with most lesser tires, you would over inflate at the track)...
