Floor mats won't stay in place

I do the same thing as Steve G. except that I put a grommet at the rear of the mat and use two interlocking zip-ties at both corners to account for the plane of the mat vs. the post. One could use a single zip-tie, but I have found this easier.

I used truck bed liner material with a couple of drain holes since the car is far from waterproof no sense in dealing with soggy mats all the time.The trans tunnel and behind the seats have the original type carpeting.
