Be persistent! He's a bugger to get in touch with. That's the way he operates <sigh>

What are you looking to order?

Maybe we can help with an alternative source?

Unfortunately, I've already placed an order with them. Just bits and pieces mainly that I need to finish off my build.

I’ve been waiting over 6 months on a refund from this outfit. Unless it’s something only he carries, I would look elsewhere.

I placed an order a month or so ago. Prior to placing my order I read a lot of comments on here about how orders have been taking forever and that he is hard to get in contact with, I decided to try anyway because everything I needed was in one place. After placing my order I got an order confirmation, then no contact until I got a tracking number a couple of weeks later. Seeing it was all items that I didnt need immediately and I had the expectation that it would take some time it was okay. Everything eventually arrived in good condition. That being said, if I needed something immediately I would look elsewhere.

Emailed them a couple days ago inquiring about an item they don’t show on the site. Haven’t heard back yet.

Never had an issue with them. Last order was in Jan, got a tracking email a couple of days later. Quick shipping in all cases.

I just spoke with Taylor who is the owner. Poor guy been down with a bad case of the flu for some time and has just managed to struggle back in today for a few hours.

He says he is a couple of weeks behind on the orders, and is trying desperately to catch up. He hopes to have my order out early next week.

I knew there had to be some reason behind the lack of response, as I have dealt with them a couple of times in the past and never had a problem.

I hate to be debbie downer here again. I was a very happy Finish Line customer a number of years ago. However, if you look at other topics on the subject you'll see that he has probably had the flu for something like over a year. You are not unique. The delays and lack of responses are the norm. I hope you get your stuff but if it doesn't show up soon you should dispute your credit card charge before the time limit expires.

I ordered two hard-to-find parts from Finishline early this month. I received a confirmation of the order promptly, and then about ten days later I was notified of their shipping and a tracking number. I received about half a dozen shipping updates and then on Monday this week, they turned up.....and I'm in Adelaide, Australia.
I'm very happy with that service

Thank you Finishline.

Cheers!
Glen

Tony is being kind. This is not a flu problem this is a mismanagement problem! Mismanagement will eventually impact cash flow. When it does, the reseller will be put on a cash and carry basis.

If you order something in inventory it will ship quickly. When you order something that is not in inventory the reseller can not get it without a cash payment to his supplier. Without cash there is no sale. After enough inventoried parts are sold there might be enough cash to get your parts.

Eventually the continued mismanagement causes the collapse of the business. That is usually followed by a fire sale and/or sale of the business. Either way you will not be getting your money back — it has already been spent for other 'things'.

Continued support of this type of reseller will result in you eventually getting screwed. Getting screwed means paying money, getting nothing and not getting a refund.

Businesses that are run like this are poster children for where not to buy from. Ignore the pretty website, pay attention to what the business is doing. Unless you like loosing money, find a new reseller.

Razerwire suggested Vintage Wheels. and pointed out that they advertise on CC. Support the vendors that support you. Vintage ships quickly and has a good range of offerings. Click on one of their adds on the site here and go to their Cobra Parts hot link on their hime page.

When I ordered (see post #11) I checked that the parts were listed as being in stock. If they weren't in stock, I would have looked elsewhere. Surely that's common sense?

Glen

I have purchased from both. One of them the owner answered calls, discussed what the customer wanted, and the vendor delivered the product as described. One of them I had to make a claim on my credit card for not delivering.

Glen, are you sure you didn’t order from Cobra Accessories? I ask because, if you get to Finish Line via Google, the link takes you to a landing page that’s for FL on the left side and Cobra Accessories on the right. I’ve ordered from both, and the experience you describe is exactly what I experienced from CA and the opposite of what I experienced with FL.

Maybe I just caught Finish Line on a bad day. Twice, LOL.

Is this the Finish Line that was building CSX cars in the 90s and 2000s?

Has anybody actually not received their parts and not gotten their money returned? So far, it seems like everybody received their parts eventually and he has not outright screwed anybody out of money.

In lieu of this, I would say if you are in a hurry for the part, find it somewhere else. If not, then place your order, sit back, and wait. Everybody should know the routine by now. It has been posted numerous times on various sites about the lack of communication and sometime slow delivery, but everybody gets their parts.
