It's Dupuytren's Contracture. My brother in law has it (he and my wife are mostly Swedish). John Elway also has it and was featured on some ads a while ago for a non-surgical treatment but don't hear about it any more.

Sorry, typo. Bill Nighy (was just nominated for an Oscar in movie "Living" in 2022) has it as well.
