There it is, I was wondering how long till Outside appeared.
Only ever turns up when Mr Black Mongrel is here and not getting his way.

Another keyboard warrior hiding behind their anonymous on screen ID. Turkey or other bird I don't really care what you think of me. At least I'm honest enough to put my real name on screen and stick to the principle that I wouldn't say anything on the forum that I'm not prepared to say face to face.

You talk about this mongrel as if there's hoards of screaming girls throwing their panties on the track as he goes past. Personally I think you are probably mongrel logged in under another ID dreaming about throwing your own panties on the track as you go past.

Two more IDs to add to my ignore list.

mmm. So nice that you remember me. I usually just sit back and read your forums. Occassionally you guys appear to be quite decent but from time to time the green eyed monster appears and I guess I just dont like the nastiness that comes with it. Really interested in your forum most of the time , dont like to stroke your ego but you have some great topics and interesting stories, but really dont like the bad manners . Said I all I come to say. Thankyou for your feedback . Gotta go boss is calling .

How about we leave the personal matter between mongrel and the Cobra Car Club of NSW out of this forum??

We're all starting to look like a pack of biarches when in reality we have nothing to do with it and mongrel had no business bringing it up here.

Short memories... Thanks giving at Lakeside

Now, any more photos or action from the Nats?

I call Shenanigans!!!!!!!! ha ha ha ha ha ha ha this is hilarious.

Just trying to decipher the text is confusing enough.

I wonder if this will happen every year after the Nationals?

Once again the once a year warriors have come out to bat for their mates. (that they don't admit to knowing)

Where can we get copies of Phil Lynn's photos? Anyone know?

Night all.

He came last year....wouldn't have thought he was keen this year...it would have taken him a week to pack all of the excuses why he wasn't the quickest.

Wasn't the quickest, and couldn't handle it.....
Wouldn't have been the quickest this year either.....like it matters !!?

Not wanted...not missed.

The volunteers didn't cop a load of abuse this year because some "entitled" twit thought he was going to be the quickest car in the land...and then wasn't.

His head nearly exploded...so he spent the whole weekend abusing volunteers, and complaining to EVERYONE about how this Nationals thing should be run.

Seemed to miss the point completely that it WASN'T and ISN'T a bloody RACE MEETING...

it's the COBRA NATIONALS,

It's where old friends do their "once a year" catch up, where friends enjoy each other's company, and have a few beers and laughs, and really just enjoy being there.

It's NOT BATHURST !!...so if you're interest is SOLELY about kicking everyone's ar*e...and will abuse and bully everyone within earshot, because you NEED to win at all costs....then you're at the wrong bloody meeting.

Why the F*** would anyone with no other interest but to WIN the SPRINTS want to attend??

It's like someone taking a Pit Bull to a dog show...to prove to everyone that his dog will kill all the others at the show in a fight !!

Maybe next year...

but it would take a MAJOR attitude change..and a few apologies....

So I don't expect that will ever happen.

I wish we would all spend more time thinking about how we can make it a better event, and put things in place months in advance, that will make it a financial success.

We had a debrief ( Pi$$up), at our Monday night stop on the way back at Bellingen, and came up with some excellent ideas in about an hour of discussion.

I'll wait until the dust settles, and give the poor buggers in the N.S.W. club a few weeks to get over it all, and then I'll be asking my members to throw us as many ideas as possible, and see if we can get the numbers back up for next year.
The N.S.W. club copped a fair finacial bashing this year, and it would be nice for them to end up in front for a change.

Enough of this other crap for a start.

Many thanks for a fantastic Nationals, from all of the Canetoads...we all had a fantastic time....Not ONE complaint!!

Cheers,
Warren Boylan,
Club President,
Cobra Car Club of Queensland Inc.

Something for "Mongrel" & "Outside" to ponder...........
.
Both of you have delusions of adequacy, have never been known to use a word that would send the reader to a dictionary and although you have no enemies, you are intensely disliked by your friends.

May be time to get some help......

Kind Regards
Chris L

Thank you for the post , I have taken what you have said on board. Which is why I had asked for this explanation, if I had done wrong by anybody and caused offence at the 2013 Nationals I sincerely apologize . That was not my intention. I do take my racing seriously and I aim to do the best I can. I do like to win as do many of my fellow competitors. My interpretation of this event was that it was a Race Meet. Had you have just been upfront with me weeks ago , it would have have been a lot kinder. I do not set out to cause a problem , I guess my intensity and passion is misconstrued to those I may meet. I will not persist to attend the Cobra Nationals. tyou

Very gracious Mongrel. Thanks.

Waz is spot on, the Nationals and Shelbyfest is all about getting together to have some fun. They aren't serious races. People just like to get out and have a run on the track and stretch the cars legs. If you win a trophy that's a bonus. There's lots of different classes and events to even out the cars and give everybody a decent chance at winning something.

It sounds like you've put the ego aside so now join in with the rest of us in this great hobby and community. As I mentioned earlier I'm sure you have some valuable input.

Cheers

Getting back to having some fun.

Below are a couple of videos. Not fast but one or two have some "exciting" moments in them.

I think Michael Tabe (SC540) thought I was coming through his front windscreen at one stage.

I really wish you would attend Mongrel, but maybe think of it as a weekend away with like minded people.

Nothing wrong with wanting to win, but just be humble enough to accept that everyone can have a bad day and not perform as well as expected or hoped.

That's exactly what it is Boxhead.

While there were a fair few cars in race class due to their tyres, there were only about 5 dedicated full-on race cars. 5 out of 65. This is not a race meet.
