Our list is growing very slowly. Anyone know if these guys are coming
Unconfirmed:
- Mike Verner - away
- Greg Allman - long shot but maybe
- Tony Stark - away
- Mario - No race car
- Scotty - car not running
- Jim Diakos?
- Troy Hansen - OS
- Yve and Chris?
- Gary Sims?
The only confirmed AP car is John Sneaky White in his new blue beast. Not sure about any others but they have booked 1/2 the pit row sheds so I assume there may be more than just John.

If you're coming please let us know ASAP/NOW as it makes it MUCH MUCH MUCH easier to organise rooms and requirements with hotels etc.

Confirmed
- Spookypt x 1 - Ole Smokey - BDR
- Geoff T x 1- Bydesign Race
- Mick W x 1 - Bydesign Race
- Gary H x 1 - Bydesign Race
- Towy x 1 - cobrodore
- mick & Isaac - s&s racing Harrison
- Phil and Ros - Harrison
- Derek C - Harrison
- Wazza - Pacirrison
- Ron F - Support
- Sneaky John White - Pace Cobra
- Pete Hancock - Harrison Red Racer
- Brad - Abso Pace

Hi Brad. I couldn't agree more about going better than last year as I'll be aiming to do the same!!!!!!

Can you send through your requirements to Ron and myself please regarding accom etc asap. Also can you razzle up any other AP crew to ensure we get everything sorted early. Would really appreciate that if you can mate.

Thanks heaps matto

Ben, Vic's usually at the Bakehouse, and I believe as the renovations are now complete at Trappers, most NSW go up there. QLD over the river on the north side. Others might confirm

Hey Matty
just lurking...Cobbie went to Yeppoon last month, Dax to Perth last week.
I'm looking for a new toy ATM but not a Cobra this time, so no Nats for me sorry.
May be a late starter depending on my negotiating skills.......

Matty ...the best way to sort out numbers from Queensland is by email....hardly anyone from the club reads this forum...I'm sending emails to all members, and will be asking for more confirmations at the breakfast.
And I've been talking to Ron about numbers from AP.
Cheers,
Warren

I know it's frustrating ,but getting people to give you a DEFINITE that they'll be coming at this stage every year, means F/ all....
I've bashed way at this for many years....and it's what they decide to do in the last month that ends up happening.
Very frustrating....but making people give a commitment now, ends up being bloody cancellations in the last few weeks.
Buggers will give you the big o.k. That they're right to go, then simply let you know that "something has come up"
Drives you mad.
Good luck.
Warren

Cheers,
Warren

Tony stark and Mike Verner are in the Northern Territory...and not going......Ron knows that.
Paul Gillis going....Ron knows that.
Craig white going...Ron knows that.
Troy Hansen living in America now...MIGHT be home the day before the Nats...won't know until closer to the time....Ron knows that.
Chunky Hancock....very doubtful...major damage to my old red racer last A series.

Like I said....not going to get answers from these people using the forum.

Cheers,
Warren

Thumbs down

Someone "not me"'nominated me to help Ron organise the Nats. As Ron doesn't use this forum I have to help with the gee up. A couple of simple lines filling us in would have been great rather than 3 long winded posts of Ron knows Fk/neverything. He hasn't told me.

It's no wonder no one puts their hand up to organise anything. If you Know everything you organise it as I got plenty of other things where people tell me to how to suck eggs that I also don't enjoy doing.

P. Thanks Greg for letting me know. Cheers mate.

O.k. Matty,
Your help is much appreciated....
I was asked to email every Queensland club member to ask if they were coming, and then they were to let you or Ron know what they were doing.
I just sent out another follow up letter from Ron to everyone yesterday...hoping to get the replies.
And wanted to let you know that the slow response is frustrating, but that it happens every year, and then there are a lot of changes in that last month.

I was just saying that talking/ emailing Ronnie, rather than asking the forum, might get you the answers you were chasing.
Not telling you how to "suck eggs"... It's all good.

Keep up the good work Matty, it's a thankless job, I'm just glad it's not me.
Yep it's a good idea to try and gee up the locals into even thinking about coming. That then could just turn into a booking, and, the more the merrier.

Unfortunately the forum is not as popular as it once was and more than half the Queenslanders attending or considering attending, aren't on the forum anymore or never were.

Mick, Geoff, Gary, Paul, Proc, Pete, John, Mario, Scotty, Ronny either were never on the forum or just don't use it anymore. It's a little sad but unfortunately not to everyones liking.

Spoke to Yve and Chris at the A series and Yve said they weren't going but when I said I was staying at camp Warnock, Taunton, Hall because it would save me $800 in Motel costs they said they MIGHT have a re think and consider doing the same.

Craig's father in law may be attending?
