Just got home about an hour ago...after two big WET days from Goulburn.

Apart from the occasional aquaplaning, when it was really belting down, it was mostly uneventful.
Got to Kempsey last night, and was sick of the wet, so parked up for the night.

Spent about 7 hours today ( usually 5 hours from Kempsey), made a longer trip with all the rain, and an hours highway shut for a decent size car accident
( No ambulances...but some messed up cars)

Anyway....

Just wanted to say another big thanks to Kim and the crew from the NSW Cobra Club, for all of the hard work putting the event together.

Also, wanted to say how much I enjoyed catching up with a lot of friends, and hope I didn't insult too many at the presentation nights.

Also,
I have had a good think about a number of things to get a bigger roll up from Queensland ( in fact from all states) for next year.

Looks like we will be continuing with using the race track for the three days, but I have some ideas for other activities, and additional things we can do, and I want to see 30 plus Queensland cars in attendance.

And , of course.....some attention given to quiten down some of the louder cars, because it doesn't look like we can get around this for future events.

I think that the 25th Anniversary Nationals next year , could see a good roll up, including a lot of "legends" that we haven't seen for some years.

I'll put my thoughts together, and send off to Kim for his and the committee's consideration.

Looking forward to next year already.

BUT...right now....I've got a VERY dirty car full of crap from a week on the road, to go and clean.

Maybe I'll do it tomorrow !

Cheers,
Warren

The QLDs just needed to know about the new noise regulation issue, as every other state club and attendee did, and the result (for me) would have been very different.

Had I have taken my packing with me, I just ran a test on my car at 4000rpm at 30 metres to get a 98 dba result (as pinged at WP) then repacked my pipes with the stuff I had sitting on my bench and remeasured it. 86 dba

OLD packing blown out.

The noise info was in the supp regs wasn't it? I'm pretty sure I read it there Spooky.

Anyway, a great weekend again thanks Kim and NSW team! Yes Wazza, we've also talked about a bumper year next year: 25 cars for the 25th Anniversary is our mantra in Club Vic!

Here's a few more pics. And a video.

Madison (NSW) about to coach me

Theo (VIC) in the overall winning Daytona this year! 1st place Daytona in EVERY event! Well done Theo

One nice paint job on this car from Melbourne Club's Michelle (nice plates too 'Chelle!)

When you're between cobra projects (Tony - VIC)...

Yours truly...

Sneaky John White (QLD - King Cobra) on the 1/8 Mile Dash grid.

And I beat my best time from last year. What more can you ask? (With the Harry's LapTimer app overlay I talked about in an earlier post!)

Guy,

the issue with the noise for the qlders was, we were not passed on the info that noise regs were going to be strictly enforced this year.

Yes they were in the regs BUT most places we race at do not strictly enforce them.

If Matt had of known, he would have done what is shown in the pics above PRIOR to the long haul to Goulbourn.

regards

Mick

Seconds into next sector/end of sector. The course, as far as the laptimer is setup, is divided into two or three sectors.
