Stephen...I uploaded a couple of pics into my gallery that might help, although they are not particularly close up. The interior one shows it best.
One shows the interior of the car just after I had sprayed it with Lizard Skin and let it dry. It shows the color it dries to, and the texture. The other pic shows the engine compartment after I had sprayed it with Lizard Skin, covered it with the eventual color I painted the car (British Racing Green Metallic), and had installed a home made stainless firewall over the bulkhead. If you blow up the picture, you can just see the texture in the compartment on the passenger side...or is that the driver's side?...hmmm...no, passenger...well, could be driver...your choice...
PS your engineers appear to be way too anal about gauge placement!!!!!
