I thought the hood scoop was for forcing in air? My guess is that the side louvers are to help vent the air coming up from under the chassis and cool off the exhaust heat. Make a custom air cleaner set up ala Ram Charger style for the hood scoop, or use the two front vents and snorkles. of couse if you leave the lovers the way they are and drive in reverse, that could work too!
