Hey, Bill D, you need to change your name!

It should be BuilD!

Awesome work!

Jim,

In the front I purchased a set of brake duct flanges that mount to the Mustang spindles. In the back I fabricated my own mounts

I like the aluminium alloy scoop for the oil cooler.
Very nicely done, Bill.
If mine wasn't already done (and painted), I think I'd copy your design :)

Cheers,
Glen

Taillights and bungee cord mounts. Progress! I’m on a roll now!

Nice, Bill.
Those bungey cord mount discs are certainly conversation starters ;)

Your momentum is certainly impressive.

Cheers!

Whichever way you like is fine.

Unless it happens to be the correct number and placement of rivets for the hood scoop, then you can try to track down Evan and ask him. :JEKYLHYDE

Jeff, aparently they should be painted blue, not black.

http://www.metaphormixer.com/SAAC31VIR/s31-26.JPG

And they should also be recessed into the front body work too.

Me thinks you should get your eyes checked. :) They look black to me :). Just kidding ya but fronts are not recessed, perhaps the result of some accident?

Here is a video of Lynn Park's FIA car csx 2259.

Yes, they are currently blue on 2345 as it was painted several times during its race life. Its unrestored so all the x layers are still on the car.
They did little to tape off once a car was damaged and repaired.
Think they were born BLK.

Yes, that was CSX2259 at my work booth in LA. Lynn was kind enough to let me borrow it for a few days. Its a cool car!

:)

You do know the Lynn Park's CSX 2259 is a very nice Cobra replica built by Brian Angliss, right?

On the other hand the car that I supplied pictures of is CSX 2345. It is supposed to be the most original of the FIA cars with only a damaged rear fender from racing back in the day. Of course all of the FIA cars were a bit different in terms of the mechanic that worked on them.

I tried mounting my quick jacks as noted by 1985CCX but found they hit the body. I would need to change out the spacers and bolts. Maybe I’ll do that at a later time. But for now they’re going to be facing outward in the back. Fronts will be correctly mounted

Yes, most of the cars were destroyed in the big bang up during a race.
So yes, all understood and yes 2345 is the only survivor from the day. Most of these car were wrecked and rebuilt as they were race cars and fragile to boot.

2259 is not a replica in the sense of cars we all own, its a bit more significant than that. But yes, Anglis did the body as well as many others as in his day he was the go to for alloy and parts, think his name was Cobra Parts or something like that.

Yes I knew that and that the original 2259 was wrecked, but my point was that Brian would never do anything inaccurate. Oh well.
